The Blue Door- Cozy Ranch Style for up to 6 in the Texas Hill Country~Come Stay!

The Blue Door is a cozy ranch style home located just one mile from the center of downtown "Drip" on an acre of beautiful Texas Hill Country land. So close to town, but feels like you're out in the country. It's perfectly located whether you're enjoying the local wine/beer tours, attending a wedding/special event...or just exploring the Hill Country Trail ~and it's only 30 min to downtown Austin (if you're inclined to head in that direction).
We are conveniently located near the many beautiful area parks, rivers and lakes, as well as a multitude of wedding venues, breweries, wineries, distilleries, entertainment, shopping and dining.
It is the perfect home to visit close by Hill Country attractions like Twisted X, Deep Eddy, Hamilton Pool, the Austin Zoo and the Salt Lick...and even to visit great neighboring towns like Driftwood, Wimberley and Buda.

Spend your days enjoying all the nearby parks, swimming holes and attractions, your evenings on the back porch watching the gorgeous Texas sunset and your nights star gazing. ~As a designated "International Dark Sky Community", Dripping Springs actively works to preserve clear, unobstructed views of the night sky which provides unparalleled night sky visibility and spectacular views of stars.

The home and property are yours to explore, however~
1. please be cautious when walking through the back half of the property that has naturally tall grasses.
2. The Blue Door is on Ranch Road 12 close to downtown "Drip", so it can get busy during certain times of the day... But the home is set far back from the road and has a large backyard to enjoy as well.
Other things to note: To help you enjoy a truly relaxing weekend, Wifi and basic TV channels are provided, or login to your favorite streaming platforms for a cozy movie night at home.

I grew up in Germany and though already well traveled when I came to Austin to go to the university, I fell in love with the city quickly. I later met my Israeli husband here, and we have since passed on our love for traveling and exploring to our two young boys.
We love the Hill Country and believe this is definitely the sweet spot of Texas! We will always keep this area as our home base even if we continue to 'wander' the world. We hope our guests enjoy exploring - or just relaxing - as much as we do!
