We enjoyed staying at the cozy cabin and loved using the little electric fireplace in the evening. the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and making meals. Our dog didn't accompany us this time but would have loved it there as well. The host was super responsive to any questions we had which was very much appreciated.
We truly enjoyed our stay! The unit was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. Everything we could possibly need was provided, which made our visit comfortable and stress-free. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extra touches from the owners — coffee, sugar, creamers, snacks, and beverages were all waiting for us. These small details made us feel welcome and at home.We would be happy to return and highly recommend this property to others.
This is a charming “updated” 40’s farmhouse. It’s very well stocked and furnished and clean. We respect and appreciate the history of this home as well as the caretakers and owners along the way. It’s close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was important to us on this vacation. We really enjoyed the outdoor sitting area and the sound of the water trickling down the stream. Couldn’t ask for a better place. Would not hesitate to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Owners/managers were easy to deal with and this property was exactly how we pictured it! Loved it and would highly recommend!

Thank you. We hope you found many happy trails while here.
We needed a respite from some major medical issues we’re battling, and wanted to enjoy some of the final fall mountain beauty. This super pet friendly creekside cabin was close and convenient to wonderful downtown Waynesville; the Greenway and numerous other parks; nearby Winchester Creek Alpaca Farm; Barber Orchard, and Lake Junaluska. Our stay was perfect in every way. The vintage, but tastefully updated cabin was roomy, but cozy; spotless and bright – with very comfortable living room furniture and the best king bed with wonderful linens! The park-like setting provided a secluded feel; and the large deck (with child/pet gates and comfortable seating) overlooked the sweetly babbling stream. We especially enjoyed cooking most of our meals in the spacious and wonderfully equipped/stocked kitchen. It was very hard to leave and we can’t wait to return! Most of all, we can’t thank enough, Tammy and Scott. Their guest service commitment was obvious from our 1st inquiry and throughout our stay. They have well-earned their Premier Host designation!
Loved, loved, loved the little brook trickling in the front yard...so relaxing and refreshing🥰

A Special Story from Your Hosts, Tammy and Scott Rodgers
For over 40 years, we have visited the western Smoky Mountains, captivated by its beauty and charm. In November 2024, our dream finally came true. We became the third owners of this beloved cabin, which has been a treasured retreat since 1961. The cabin, built in 1945, holds a special place in our hearts, and we’re proud to continue its legacy.
What makes this journey even more incredible is the bond we now share with the previous owners, Tom and Cathy. Through this experience, we not only acquired an amazing property, but we also gained two wonderful friends and neighbors. It’s a rare and beautiful thing to purchase a property on a handshake and form lasting connections in the process.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tom and Cathy for entrusting us with this little slice of heaven in the mountains. We promise to care for and maintain the cabin with the same love, dedication, and passion they, as well as William and Nancy before them, have shown for over 65 years.
We’re excited to welcome you into this special place, and we hope you experience the same warmth and magic that we feel every time we visit.
