Perfect location, lovely apartment

We loved it here, the neighbourhood was just what we were hoping for - laid back beach vibe. This spot is handy for shops, restaurants and the beach.

Location, location....

So many reviews have mentioned the brilliant location so I'll move on to other things (except to say: location is BRILLIANT!). Beds are very comfortable. Both showers are very good, especially the en-suite. Storage is excellent. WiFi is excellent - fast and reliable. Local restaurants are great, from fast and fun to refined dining - all within a minute or three on foot. Parking was great - good space and easy access in the alley behind. Laundry was a great benefit, despite being shared. Dishwasher, fridge freezer, cooker and microwave all good quality, in good order and easy to use. In January, most of the balcony remains in shade, but there is always sun on the chairs overlooking the street - perfect for us. An awning was being fitted to give shade as we left - great for when the sun is higher in the sky. The owners are very helpful and quick to respond. Crockery could be improved (it's mainly melamine) but most of the cooking utensils you might want are there. We had no problems with noise or smells from the street. It's true the refuse collectors come very early some days but they are gone within moments. All in all, we had a superb month here and would gladly come again.

Great location, good space for a family of 4.

This is a good apartment which is nicely furnished and felt more spacious than it looks from the outside with 2 good sized bedrooms and really good showers in the bathrooms. The kitchenette has a decent sized fridge and oven. However, there is only one wine glass in the cupboard. The washing machine and drier seem pretty new and are a good size although are shared with the other unit and located in the store room of the Ice Cream shop. Would be useful to have a clothes airer stand in the apartment for those clothes that do not go into the tumble drier, particularly swimwear. The location is great - beach is a 2 minute walk at the end of the street and you are right on top of (literally) a wide range of good eating places. We particularly liked the Italian, Piatti. Downsides of the location is the noisy rubbish collection early in the morning, sharing the industrial rubbish bins with the restaurants which were pretty full to overflowing when we were there. Also, on the front terrace, there was a persistent and unpleasant smell of drains which we were keen to escape by the end of the week - the prospect of eating on the terrace was not appealing. There was also 2 noisy construction projects opposite which were pretty noisy from Monday-Friday. Overall, a fun place to stay, plenty of room for a family of 4, just needs a few problems fixing!

What an amazing place to spend time! Surrounded by lots of activities if you want it....but also easy to chill if that is what you need!! The flat is great for 2 couples! Everything you needed is provided! We loved our stay!!!

Perfect Location

The Condo was perfect for our holiday in La Jolla shores. The location is ideal for days on the beach which was within easy walking distance and the extensive beach equipment provided such as chairs, parasol and cool box etc. along with a great little cart to transport it was well used by us! The Condo itself was deceptively spacious and very comfortable for the 4 of us and was very well equipped with everything you’d need whether that be for cooking meals, relaxing watching a film or sitting out on the spacious terrace. Having the laundry facilities was very handy too having 2 young children. Chris was very responsive and checked everything was ok for us and even went out to purchase an electric kettle so we could make a cup of tea! Highly recommended and hopefully one day we will return!

Warmth

Great location to the La Jolla shores beach. Several restaurants outside the front door and a nice large patio. The home is located above scoops ice cream. The convenience is mixed, due to noise between 3:00pm and 10:00pm. And early morning trash pickup. Sleeping was not an issue. Not unbearable but feel it only fair to include in my review. To be expected with outdoor restaurants etc. There are pluses to this property and I would recommend.

Location

Proximity to beach is great. Located on top of Ice cream shop that can get busy and noisy on street, back of unit is on top of other rental. Lots of stairs. Decent property, not 5 star amenities (uncomfortable couches, broken chef's knife, scratched Teflon pans, saggy mattresses...) Not a good fit for our family with littles because of stairs and trying not to disturb downstairs neighbors with toddler feet. We booked for the location and that did not disappoint.

La Jolla get-away

My husband and 4 girls stayed here for a long weekend when we were attending a family wedding. It was the perfect location for us and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach each day. Lots of beach chairs and equipment which is nice. Great restaurant options all within walking distance.

Long Weekend

The perfect place at the perfect location close to the beach and plenty of restaurants at the doorstep of the apartment. The outdoor terrace is just spectacular. Easy communication and flexibility from the hosts. Great place to stay!

Perfect getaway for the whole family

We stayed here for just under a week and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer! This place was absolutely perfect in every way. We brought our kids (2 and 1 years old) and my parents with us and each of us loved this place through and through. The place was immaculate, the parking spot is clutch as their is limited parking in La Jolla Shores, the available beach equipment was so nice, and the smell of crepes was a great bonus as well! Can't say enough good things about this rental...book it!

Absolutely the best in La Jolla

Phenomenal stay. The apartment sits right on top of Scoops ice cream which puts you right in the heart of La Jolla Shores, seconds from dining/shops, and just minutes from the beach. The unit was wonderful. Very comfy. Plenty of space for our family of 5. All the necessary amenities. Comfortable and tastefully decorated. They have all the beach toys, towels, and a wagon to pull your stuff to the beach. Just a fantastic stay and we look forward to the next time!

Wonderful Experience

Ocean Breeze Getaway was a fantastic vacation. What a great location and the apartment was clean and cozy. We loved sitting on the balcony patio watching the people. We were close to everything we love about La Jolla. We will definitely chose this place again in the future.

Perfect family getaway

The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. The location can't be beat and it was wonderful to have a parking space and all the beach gear included. The patio was a great place to unwind while taking in the activity on the street and the smell of waffle cones from down below. The host is quick and helpful if anything arises. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our visit

My husband, mother, and I stayed here so the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for our situation. Lovely, comfortable apartment, well appointed with everything we needed. Loved the patio. Leti was very responsive and kind when we messaged her with a few questions. And the location could not be beat! Within 5 minutes of the beach and a wide array of food options. For those who enjoy a slightly longer walk, it's an easy walk to La Jolla Cove and the Birch Aquarium too. Would absolutely stay here again.

There were no cleaning supplies in the kitchen or bathroom so that i could cleanup with something besides water and a sponge. there needs to be a real iron board. the one that was there was useless. would like to have had more paper towels, kleenex would have been nice and garbage bags to replace garbage cans when removing trash

Perfect place for us

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mi Casa. The property was in great shape, had everything we needed, and the second bathroom was a nice bonus. The location was perfect, plenty of excellent food choices just steps away, 2 blocks away a gorgeous beach. We couldn't have found a better place for our girls trip.
