This property was perfect for our annual gathering, and we'll likely return. Communication with hosts was excellent & helpful, and the 50 acres and the house are absolutely beautiful. We loved the isolation spending time enjoying nature, but also appreciated that we weren't too far from town to go in and enjoy a local meal. The off the grid experience was very impressive and everything worked perfectly.

Weekend Getaway with famoily and friends

This spot is so beatuiful and peaceful, the home, the bedrooms, the amazing kitchen and outdoor scenery were fabulous! Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Can't wait to go back!

Elk Hunt

This home was perfectly situated in our hunting area. We were shocked with how nice the home was. Not really roughing it at all…. Home owner was extremely friendly and seemed to truly care that we had a wonderful experience. Home is beautiful with large working kitchen that made it easy to feed the 6 of us every evening.

Awesome getaway!

12 out of 10! Of all the short term rentals I’ve stayed in, this one felt most at home. Wonderful location, you would never know you’re off grid, except for being off grid. Wonderful views of sunrise, abundant wildlife, very friendly and helpful host. Stan was responsive And helpful with any questions and suggesting activities throughout the weekend. Absolutely incredible!!

Immaculate, gorgeous, spacious, comfortable, beautiful home you can’t believe you found and you never want to leave! There are no words for how jaw dropping and amazing the property is. Or the views!! Oh my goodness. STUNNING. Our family of 7 enjoyed this house more than any we’ve ever stayed at and it was a wonderful experience in every way. Very kind & helpful host also!

Stayed 5 Days -- DREAMING OF 5 WEEKS!

What a fantastic stay! Our kind hosts ensured everything was absolutely perfect. From the string of ideas and directions to their lovely home beforehand ... to their quick response and endless ideas during our stay ... I couldn't imagine a more wonderful and caring team.The home itself is GLORIOUS! We were six adults, 60+, and we had plenty of room to roam and relax inside and out. Every room in the home is a masterpiece of art, comfort and gorgeous/upscale/fun/silly surprises. Look up, look down, search for hidden crannies: this property is a visual feast. The listing's pictures barely scratch the surface!The owners have thought of everything. Their state-of-the-art kitchen puts my entire home to shame and I considered taking up full-time residence in the beautiful and artfully appointed primary bathrooms. There are games and magazines and books and a TV ... but most importantly ... there are ENDLESS windows in every direction luring you outside.And, about OUTSIDE ... Bring your hiking boots, cameras and sunscreen because you will not want to miss a single minute enjoying the trails, hills, mountains and river walks on this property and in the area. Simple phrases can't do justice to describing the beauty of this territory and no words can explain the serenity and sense of awe you experience as your journey nears Del Norte. (Want to just "sit a spell"? Grab a beverage and a friend, then watch sunrise and sunset from deck. Maybe even feed the chipmunks and blue jays!) Our stay was short, but we did venture out one day to the lovely town of Creede where we enjoyed the mining museum, a fabulous stage show, ice cream and a trip to Creede's enormous annual rummage sale. (What a surprise to learn that our proprietors adopted a piece of the highway along the way and supported both Creede's playhouse and a local church!) Soup-to-nuts: beautiful, thoughtful, restful (or ADVENTUROUS) and fun! Thank you so much again, Tucker-McDermotts ... we're excited to return again soon!

Great Escape

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by escaping our lives for a few days to stay at this wonderful home in Del Norte, CO. We didn't know what to expect, having never been to this corner of the state, but it was a real utopia for outdoor activities. It's a great area for mountain biking and hiking. (Though the elevation is high, so visitors from lower elevations might find themselves struggling through moderate exercise.) We hiked Middle Frisco Trail, walked the river walk in "downtown" Del Norte, and explored the property the house is on. We loved it. Our dog loved it, too. She's not used to being off-leash, and she loved being able to run around at full canine speed. The owner was helpful and communicative, suggesting activities we might like (and did), and generally making sure were were enjoying ourselves. The house itself is wonderful, with an eclectic mix of art, sustainable building materials, solar power, and a kitchen that has everything you might need. The sun deck in particular was a great place to unwind and watch lizards, birds, and distant cattle. And the stars! I had never seen the Milky Way before. It was overhead every night. And I've never seen so many stars. It was breathtaking. The town is only a few miles away, if supplies are needed. I can't remember the last time we were this relaxed. Wonderful vacation spot! Great Find

We were very pleased with this well designed and well stocked off-grid house. It has all the advantages of a remote private ranch home, with all the amenities of modern living. It would be expense for a couple, but we filled it up with friends and family, which made it a good price. Hope we can return.

Gorgeous, Secluded and peaceful

Hidden gem of a property. Loved the cool, fresh mountain air on a summer night. So fun hearing various wildlife at night. House was a great set up for a get away with 2 families. Definitely recommend!!

Fantastic Place

We had a blast. Stan and Michael are superb owners, they helped on the way in, when we were there and would have been available for any question that may have come up. We hiked right from the property and in the surrounding mountains and fished the Rio Grande. The hone is comfortable and is situated in a lovely location. We would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful stay in Del Norte

This was probably the best VRBO we've ever stayed at. The home was very clean and beautifully decorated with unique items. Tons of natural light. The kitchen was well-stocked and had a great view out the windows. We enjoyed exploring the property, and our kids enjoyed climbing on the large boulders. Stan was very communicative and helpful. I'd 100% recommend staying here!

Perfect in every way!

So much good to say about this house and the owners. The house is even better than the pictures, perfectly decorated, and equipped. You won't be wanting for anything when you rent this house. We were hunting in the area and this was a perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. Stan, one of the owners, was fantastic and made it feel like we were just borrowing the house from a good friend. This would be an amazing place to rent while skiing in the area as well. I can't say enough good things about it! Note to hunters: There is no hunting or shooting on the 50 acres, there is no access to public BLM from this property, and there is no game processing allowed on the property. Still great though!

Beautiful Home!

This home has everything you need to have a relaxing weekend in Del Norte. The cozy feel, decor, and endless supplies in the kitchen make you want to stay another week! Not to mention the amazing views surrounding the entire property along with 40 acres to explore throughout the day. I highly recommend this home and will definitely be back!

Belmont Del Norte

If quiet seclusion in a high desert/mountain setting is what you are looking for, then you've come to the right place. The Belmont Del Norte is in a great location with forever views and every accommodation you could imagine. If you never left the property, you'd still have plenty to do. There are books galore for the reading enthusiast. There is every imaginable board game and some you might not have known existed (desktop curling anyone?). If you are a birder, just look out the window. If you're a star gazer, hang out on the amazing deck after dark and search out your favorite constellation. If bouldering is your kind of thing, you could spend hours on the property exploring every nook and cranny. Needless to say, this is a great property and the owners Stan and Michael go out of their way to make you as comfortable and welcomed as you could ever want to be. I give the Belmont Del Norte two hearty thumbs up!

Best Ever!!

We stayed at this AMAZING house for our son's wedding in Del Norte. Stan and Michael are the best, so attentive to all your needs and we could always reach them day or night. We had our rehearsal dinner here and everyone that came were going on and on about this house. The pictures do not do it justice. As soon as you walk in it so much bigger and beautiful than the pics even show. There is so much room in the kitchen with a huge island to work on. The bedrooms are all perfect. The master bath, two shower heads, we were in heaven!! Your eyes are always catching something new and interesting. If you forgot something, not a problem, they have it all! The most stocked house I have ever been in, better than my own. We needed a funnel at one point and low and behold they had one. It was amazing. The outside is just as fabulous, so many seating areas and the deck is gorgeous. We were so busy with the wedding that we did not get to enjoy it with relaxation time, but will definitely be back to just relax and explore the area next time. Thanks so much Michael and Stan for sharing your beautiful home!!!

This home was well equipped with everything that you would need for any stay. Gourmet kitchen. Very relaxing. Hiking was great on the property. Well located With easy access to hiking trails, ATV adventure. We plan on coming back next year
