This was the perfect spot for our long weekend! We were a multigenerational group and the layout was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful views on the screened in porch and loved the hot tub and game room! Everything was clean and comfortable! Thanks for a memorable family weekend!
Loved my time in this beautiful peaceful mountain retreat. Enjoyed the spectacular veiws..sunsets..starry skies. Very private & quiet yet just a few minutes to town. And of course the hot tub..sauna & fireplace were all amazing. Grateful for this very special & unique place.Thank you Ann for a wonderful stay!
Could not have asked for a better stay! Home was clean, ready for our arrival and exactly as described! Such a well maintained home. It’s obvious the owners have put a lot of time and work into this space and it’s paid off! Lots of nooks and hang out spots, amazing view, nice hot tub, sauna, game room, fire pit, screened porch with fire table… just so perfect! Hosts were responsive and super helpful with recommendations. Five stars all around!
We really enjoyed our stay and all of the amenities. We had plently of room to spread out and the beds were all very comfortable. We will definitely be back. Thank you Ann!!!
We had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated mountain retreat. Fairly easy driveway to navigate and not too many steps to load in. Two bedrooms share a bath on the main floor and the downstairs is an entirely separate unit complete with a bed, futon, kitchen and full bath. Lots of outer decks on various levels with seating to take in the gorgeous views, and a lovely “spa room” located on a deck level a few steps above the hot tub and sauna, all of which shared a bathroom accessible without going inside. Screened porch with gas fire pit leads out to “spa deck. We cooked out on the very nice charcoal grill located in that area, but there is also a gas grill just out the front door closer to the kitchen. That gas grill area is covered, so no worries if it is inclement weather. The fireplace works by remote control, which was very cool, and the reading nook got a lot of use during our stay.. very cozy.. There is a separate structure with a game room that we visited briefly but did not use. We visited Beach Mountain, Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain and the Grandfather Mountain Winery. It was a great place to stay for relaxing and adventures!
Host is very responsive and warm welcoming! We loved the house and all the amenities. First time experience in a hot tub while snowing! Would definitely book again!

Yes! The absolute BEST time to soak in the hot tub! That and at sunset, or after a long days hike in the mountains :)

Thank you Jonathan! You and your family were such a pleasure to host!
Everything about our stay here was perfect. Check in was easy. The cabin was easy to locate, and there was no scary driveway. The location was very convenient, not only to Banner Elk, but to so many other mountain towns. There is plenty to do and a wide variety of restaurants. There were neighbors nearby, but you barely knew it. There were plenty of goldenrods and asters in bloom, and it smelled so wonderful outside. We probably saw at least 50 deer and a lot of turkeys every morning as we down into town.We let our kids each bring a friend, and this was the first vacation we attempted this. This cabin was perfect for such an outing. It is more like a compound than a cabin. Every one can have their own private area, but there are also several places that can accommodate everyone together. The view was very nice. The night sky was dark enough to accommodate stargazing. Ann was very accommodating. Most everyone we encountered in the surrounding towns was very kind and friendly. Traffic was light everywhere we went, and we did not encounter any aggressive driving. We really just enjoyed everything about our stay. I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting NW North Carolina.
Everything was perfect! Beautiful view, cozy and immaculate! The host even put out Christmas decorations for us since we arrived on Christmas! The hot tub was an added perk and so relaxing! The beds were comfy and we loved the fireplace in the living room! Would absolutely stay here again and recommend 100%!!

Thank you Amy! I'm so glad you enjoyed your Christmas at the chalet with your family!
It was a pleasure hosting you over the holiday for sure :) Happy New Year to you and your family!
This house is as advertised. It is very comfortable and charming. We enjoyed the privacy and solitude all while being convenient to the attractions in the surrounding areas. The hot tub at sunset is a must.
Unique, secluded, cozy mountain cabin that is still close to town. We loved the night sky views and had fun with the many porches and places to hang out or play.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The main part of the house was a little smaller than originally expected, but there was plenty of areas to entertain ourselves. We really enjoyed our stay!
Had a great trip with plenty to do on site and close by! Every room and place had its own touch of personal care. This was the best mountain getaway we have had! Never a dull moment and plenty to do even in a rainstorm all day lol loved the amenities and everything was as listed!
Very cute little cottage! Hot tub was a nice addition as well as porch fire table. Inside decor is very well done. The outside areas and furniture could use some updating for sure.

Thank you Christa! We are glad you enjoyed the hot tub with the view and fire table for cozy evenings. Our decorator will love your complements on the decor!
Our online photos are currently accurate, but please feel free to reach out to me with any outdoor areas/furnishings you are referring to that you believe need updating and I will certainly look into it and improve where needed!
We did take a beating with the hurricane and may have overlooked something. It's been a snowy winter and with the weather finally warming, we'll be able to get out and address any concerns you may have encountered.
Thank you for visiting! We're happy you got a chance to enjoy our first taste of spring here in the high country of Western North Carolina while you were here :)
