Owl Creek Cabin Mountain Getaway near Ashland, Oregon

Located in the Cascade Mountains above Ashland, Oregon, the cabin is a private, welcoming getaway for a quiet, relaxing retreat in a natural forest setting. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs will warm you in any season. An outdoor clawfoot tub is perfect for a relaxing soak in the summer and fall. The tub is available from mid-April through mid -November.

WiFi speed is reliable for basic use. - mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children 6 and up are welcome.



Cabin features:

You’ll be greeted when you arrive and briefly introduced to some of the cabin's unique features, including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft.

The coffee cart kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, coffee-maker, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. An outdoor gas grill with a skillet and saucepan allows grilling and limited cooking. Dishes, freshly laundered linens, and bedding are provided.



Things to see and do:

Our 5-acre property is adjacent to BLM land and near recreational areas with miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, 12 miles away.

Nearby Howard Prairie and Hyatt Lakes offer fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking trails. A scenic 20-mile drive will take you to Lake of the Woods, where you can dine, hike, kayak, swim, and fish. Spectacular Crater Lake National Park is 65 miles away. Ashland's Shakespeare Theatre, Lithia Park, shopping, and dining attract guests all year-round.

The bathroom contained only a composting toilet and the outdoor tub was out of order. Neither of these things were curly comminacted and both would have prevented us from staying.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying here for our anniversary! Kit, the host, was very friendly during the tour he gave us. We immediately felt welcomed. The cabin was beautiful and I especially loved the deck. There was plenty of bedding, cookware, and grilling utensils. There was also a lot of firewood. The outdoor tub was excellent. It’s very spacious and peaceful. It is also built in a way that ensures decent privacy while still having a beautiful site. The water needs some time to cool down, but once it does it it really nice. With it being in the woods, there were some bugs flying around. just a heads up if you are wanting to use it. I would still recommend it!I do think photos of the toilet should be in the listing. It is a compostable toilet and unfortunately had some odor. There was air freshener provided, which was appreciated. Overall, our first vacation together here was memorable and we are happy to have spent it here! :) Thank you for providing this experience.
