The Condo was just what we needed for our vacation. Nice big balcony. The views were great. The Host was very prompt at return messages and even cam out on a Sunday to make the two beds into a King bed for us (I forgot to ask prior to us getting there. The pool and Hot Tub were still under construction but the Host gave us an option to go to another resort to use their pool. We were not at the condo very much basically to sleep there.

It was a great place to stay. However, there was so much construction and renovation going on that is was all we could hear. During the day was so noisy and loud. If that would have been disclosed when I rented it, I don’t think I would have done it. I wanted to relax and hear the ocean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Daytona visit in this lovely condo. Kitchen was large and had everything we needed The leather sofas in living room were very comfortable. The king size bed in the master bedroom was soooo awesome. I have some back issues and usually wake up with a very stiff back in the morning, but I had no problems the whole time I was here. The condo was beautifully and tastefully decorated. It is very close to a Publix, Walgreens and a lot of interesting looking restaurants across the street. The pool area is nice with a hot tub. We enjoyed having coffee on the balcony in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. Never having been to Daytona Beach, I was amazed to see speed limit signs and cars driving on the beach. The Sand Dollar was a very safe place to stay. The underground parking is a little intimidating at first but once you get use to it, it's ok. There's also the option of parking on the main level. Room key is needed to get back in the building and to get into the elevator room. All employees were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect Place for Our Girls' Getaway

First of all, the check-in process was a breeze. Jennifer made it very easy by sending me the keys in the mail two weeks ahead of time, along with some information about the property and the area. When we arrived, we were delighted. The condo is very clean and comfortable. My daughter, my sister, and I came for the beach, and this was a great location for that! The condo was the perfect place to unwind after a day in the sun. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was very clean! I loved the view of the ocean and the river; sitting on the balcony in the evenings was absolutely beautiful. I also enjoyed getting up at sunrise and walking on the beach. Beautiful location to enjoy the sunrise!! My pictures are breathtaking! I appreciated how Jennifer called me a few days before departure to go through instructions. She also texted me the day of arrival. It was nice having her number for questions. It is clear they take pride in providing a great experience for their guests. Five stars! Highly recommend!

We have been vacationing in beautiful Daytona Beach Shores for many years. Our experience with Tricia and Tim’s condo was exceptional. The rental process was easy and our stay trouble free. The condo has a great layout. Very comfortable, exceptionally clean, and nicely decorated making you feel like you are at home away from home. We loved the corner unit and the balcony that has amazing views of the beach and the Halifax River. Parking in the underground, secure garage was very nice. It is in a great location, close to restaurants, shopping, and a new Publix grocery store within walking distance. We will not hesitate to stay again and am confident your stay will be a memorable one.

Great Property and Location

We arrived late on Saturday and the instructions were perfect for getting settled in. Condo is centrally located with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Publix is close enough to walk to but you will likely want to drive the first time to stock up for the week. We loaded them everything into grocery carts in the parking garage to get them to the room. This was a very nice touch. Don't be surprised by the mirrors in the room. You get to the point where you forget they are there and they add to the light airy feel. The views were great and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to restaurants including Crabby Joe's located on the pier a little over a mile south via the beach except at high tide. The owners were very easy to work with and we would definitely stay with them again.

Refreshing Getaway

After searching through a variety of vacation spots, I am thrilled we decided upon the Sand Dollar Condo. The Atlantic Ocean was a perfect setting to escape the frigid Iowa winters! We enjoyed long walks on the beach each morning and took in many of the local sights and attractions. If you choose this location, be sure to dine at the Boondocks Restaurant and the Cracked Egg. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutley, perfect vacation

Tricia and Tim, thanks for providing such a beautiful, very clean and well maintained condo for our vacation, we were worried about going down right after hurricane Irma, but everything was in order with no damage to the condo, only regret we had was having to leave at the end of the week, but look forward to staying there again soon.

We arrived on time in the afternoon and the place was ready to go! It was clean, neat and tidy (well done Connie)! Everything was as advertised with no complaints from any of us. You can walk to restaurants, shops and the Publix grocery store. The view looks over both the ocean the intracoastal waterway which was what we really wanted. When we go back to this area we will book with Tricia and Tim again, for sure.

Very nice condo with simple conveniences for a comfortable stay

What a nice place to stay. The Sand Dollar is located about .9 of a mile north of Dunlawton Avenue (rt 421). The beach is wide and very pleasant. There are carts available to take your luggage to your condo from the garage. Being on the 9th floor makes for wonderful views of the ocean and waterway. The sunsets were gorgeous! The elevators were very fast and never crowded. There is a place just off the beach to put chairs and umbrellas so you don't have to carry them to the condo every time. There is a place to rinse sand off there too. On the balcony of the condo, there is a small drying rack to hang wet swim suits and towels on. It was really nice having a washer and dryer in the unit. Linens and towels (beach, kitchen and bath) were all included. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of pillows. The kitchen was stocked with enough items to make a nice meal. If you like to eat out, there are numerous local restaurants or just about any chain restaurant you can think of within five to seven miles. Tricia and Tim were wonderful to work with. They returned our calls/ emails quickly. They made it very easy to get the keys and then return them at the end of our stay. There were four of us who stayed there and it was very comfortable. We will probably stay in this unit again the next time we visit Daytona Beach/ Port Orange Florida. Thank you Tricia and Tim Dunlevy for sharing your condo with us!!

Why they chose this property

We are right on the beach! Glorious Sunrises and Gorgeous Sunsets can be seen from our condo balcony! The Sand Dollar is solidly built building (survived 2 hurricanes). It is a friendly, family-oriented building, not a party building. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance.

What makes this property unique

Clean, well stocked, constantly maintained, nicely decorated, new linens through out the unit. Many amenities provided. Full size laundry room in unit.

Secured, reserved underground parking. Very secure building. Two elevators -- Easy access for folks who have difficulty walking. Wonderful 85 degree Heated Pool and Jetted Hot Spa directly on the ocean beach.

We see Nesting Turtles, Baby Turtles, Right Whale migrations, and rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center.
