We also have a seasonal backyard Bunkhouse with a comfy full-size bed. Enjoy the large living room with a comfy sofa bed for extra guests. With amenities like AC, heating, dishwasher, coffee bar, a hairdryer, and fully equipped kitchen, you'll have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Guests have access to the entire main floor and loft bedroom with 2nd bath of the home. The basement and attached greenhouse are non-guest areas. The entrance is shared with owners as an access to basement area. These areas may be accessed daily to care for greenhouse duties. The kids and adults alike will enjoy hand feeding our flock of friendly goats across the fence. This home is in close proximity to both Tamarac and Hubble Pond Wildlife Refuges for hiking, bird watching and hunting. Acess to North Country Hiking Trail is within a mile. We are near many great fishing lakes and within miles from ATV trails, and located right on the snowmobile trail. We are a 20 minute drive to Detroit Lakes and 30 minutes to Park Rapids or Perham. Sit by the fire pit in the evening and roast marshmallows while watching the local deer make their appearance. Enjoy squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, fox and other wildlife. The quiet and peaceful setting is a wonderful place to unwind or a great place for a family reunion. Inquire about 2 electric hookups for self contained campers on the property.

We had a great stay. The property was clean and quiet. The bonus bunkhousr was cute. We will have to come back with more family and take advantage of all the space.

We really enjoyed our stay-so much better to be in a home vs a hotel. We loved feeding the goats. Everything was very clean! Communication was excellent.

Our 2 night stay was great! Roomy enough for 4 adults and 2 children. The kids loved feeding the goats and seeing the bunnies and squirrels running around. The house was clean with plenty of supplies needed.

Your hosts, Curt and Spring have lived on the property for over 50 years and enjoy sharing it with others. They have a flock of goats in the spring, summer and fall. They enjoy feeding and caring for the wildlife on the property which includes friendly racoons, deer, wild turkeys, squirrels and whatever else might wander thru!
Why they chose this property
The property is near to the North Country Hiking Trail, many fishing lakes and the snowmobile trail crosses in front of the property. Many stay here to visit the areas artistic trolls. The Tamarac Wilflife refuge border is within a mile of the home. Many enjoy bird watching on the area.
What makes this property unique
Our home was built in the 1940's and is decorated with an antique rustic theme. It was the family home for many years and gives the feeling of stepping back in time, but with today's conveniences. You will enjoy the expansive outdoor area, grill, patio table and fire pit.
