We take the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of our guests very seriously, which is why we feel it is important to provide additional context regarding this review. Several statements made in this review are inconsistent with the documentation and communications we have from this reservation. Shortly after arrival, the guest contacted us with concerns, including claiming that both beds were broken. We have video documentation from the stay showing that both beds were used, which directly contradicts the characterization that both beds were unusable or broken. Nevertheless, because we never want a guest to feel obligated to remain in accommodations they are unhappy with, we offered the guest the opportunity to check out early and receive a refund for the remaining stay. The guest chose not to leave and instead remained at the property. The statement that we were slow or unresponsive is also inconsistent with our documented message history. Our VRBO communications show that we responded to the guest’s messages in a timely manner and attempted to address the concerns presented to us. Regarding the electronic door lock, we responded when the guest reported difficulty entering the apartment. The issue was related to incorrect code entry rather than a confirmed malfunction of the lock. We also strongly dispute the allegation that the apartment was not cleaned prior to arrival. The property was professionally cleaned and inspected before check-in. We stand behind our cleaning team, who work extremely hard to maintain our property to a high standard. The condition depicted in certain photographs submitted after the guest occupied and used the property does not establish that those conditions existed when the guest checked in. We are particularly concerned by the allegation of an “empty drug bag.” A photograph of a small bag does not establish what the bag contained, where it came from, or that illegal drugs were ever present inside our property. No evidence was provided establishing that the bag contained drugs or that it was present in the apartment before this guest’s arrival. We believe it is inappropriate to present such a serious and unsubstantiated allegation as fact. We also dispute the statement that the apartment did not match the listing. The property, furnishings, and layout correspond with the photographs in our listing, and we provided VRBO with additional photographs documenting the property’s appearance. Some statements in the review also concern common areas and operations of the apartment community that are outside an individual host’s direct control. When concerns within our control were brought to our attention, however, we responded and attempted to resolve them. Guests are absolutely entitled to share their experiences, including negative ones. However, there is a significant difference between expressing dissatisfaction and presenting disputed allegations as established facts. We have provided VRBO with documentation concerning this reservation, including our message history, photographs, and video evidence. This documentation contradicts several of the claims contained in this review. We are therefore disappointed that the review has been allowed to remain published despite our documented dispute regarding its accuracy. We have a strict No parties or events at our property. When guests don't follow the rules we have no choice but to send an up-charge for breaking the rules. We allow a few guests, however we don't allow parties to be thrown at our property. Thank you for your feedback.

Guest never stayed. Guest checked in and then message saying they didn't want to stay because of a smell and threatened to leave a 1 star review if we didn't give a full refund even though they were past the refund window period. We refunded the full amount except for the Vrbo fees. Went to check the apartment and nothing was a miss no smell. Guest wouldn't cancel their stay so that we could rent to someone else. Therefore we lost a weekend. Would never allow this guest to book again.
