The place was adorable, just big enough for the two of us. Loved the decor, especially McKenzie-Child’s vibe in the kitchen. Lots of communication from the host so we knew exactly what to do. It was the perfect distance from the Ironman event. Will do this again.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Our stay at this tiny home was alright. The host communicated well and the home had the amenities listed. However, there was a significant mold issue in the shower and bathroom. It appeared as though someone tried to paint over the mold and it has clearly spread to other parts of the bathroom. It was very disappointing. Other than the mold, there were chips (food crumbs) found in the couch and significant dirt (potentially mold) found along the air conditioners. Overall, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the home.

Thank you for your review, Lauren. However, we wish these issues had been brought to our attention during your stay so we could have addressed them promptly. The mold was actually reported by another guest, and we were able to take care of it. Thank you for your feedback.
The location definitely has potential. The place was almost as described & the communication was good. I just had a problem with black mold in the only bathroom. I checked in late the first night & did not look into it as I was tired. The next morning, I went to shower & saw it was a serious case of mold. So bad a maintenance person knocked on my door while I was in the shower that morning, without prior notification, to address the mold as requested by the owner. I contacted the owner to inform her of the situation & I was told that she had just been made aware of the mold by the previous renters right before me. This was untrue as the majority of the mold was spray painted over to try to hide the mold. I also saw the ceiling spray paint can under the kitchen sink. The maintenance person stated he would have to cut the drywall out & it would take several days, but would spray & wipe the mold for the time being. He sprayed the ceiling with bleach & told us we couldn't use the bathroom for about 3 hours. We had to drive to the nearest Starbucks to use the restroom. We came back after about 2 hours & the entire rental wreaked of bleach. I contacted VRBO's customer service & was disconnected several times. I provided pictures of the situation via email & VRBO was unsuccessful with contacting the owner. VRBO basically did nothing for me. I had to find another location to stay, was only refunded for the days after I left, and again hesitant to continue using VRBO

Hello Jovin,
As mentioned previously, we were not aware of the mold issue until it was reported by the guests before your stay. Once we were informed, we immediately notified maintenance, and they needed to address the issue during your stay.
After understanding the severity of the situation, we issued a refund for the remaining nights of your reservation. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and did our best to resolve the matter as quickly and effectively as possible within our control.
We can confirm that the mold issue has since been fully resolved and has not affected any guests since.
Thank you again for your feedback.
