The house is comfortable, clean, well stocked, great location and just adorable!! Quick response on a couple of questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our, very relaxing, stay! We will definitely rent again.
We had a great stay. With in a few min. of checking in, we were meet with a knock on the door and David, the owner, with a new coffee pot to replace the broken one. Our stay was quiet and restful, just what we needed. We would definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Mandy Southern
We’re a family that spends a lot of time in Boone for App State, the outdoors, and weekends in the High Country. We host because we genuinely enjoy helping people have an easy, comfortable trip - whether you’re here for a game, hiking, skiing, or just unplugging. We keep things simple: a clean home, clear instructions, quick communication, and the little details that make a stay feel smooth. If you need local recommendations (food, trails, breweries, family-friendly spots), we’re happy to share.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it’s quiet and residential, but still close to everything people come to Boone for. You can get to App State and downtown quickly, then come back to a peaceful place to relax - especially after a long day of hiking, skiing, or a game weekend. Parking is easy, the setting feels private, and it’s a great home base for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and the High Country.

The upstairs suite has its own private entrance, a full kitchen, a spacious living room, and a large private deck - so you can spread out and actually enjoy your time in Boone. Two full bathrooms make group stays easier, and the driveway parking is a big plus on busy weekends. It’s a great fit for families and groups who want a quiet place close to App State and downtown, without feeling cramped.
