Mirror Pond Cabin: Rockbridge

The platform lists two categories; amenities (things we provide) and attractions (things to do in the area). The guest misunderstood and arrived expecting to have a boat and kayaks for their stay. They did unfortunately have reduced water pressure due to our filtrations and softener system; as soon as we were notified and got permission to have someone out - we had this fixed. We do not have a basement, we have a cellar, and unfortunately these are not something that stay dry. This is a locked space we do not allow guests into for their own safety. We do have a secondary AC on the second floor we would be happy to assist in using as this is an A frame and the second floor is warmer than the first; and being an older cabin the stairs are steep to get to the second floor (we do have 2 bedrooms on the first floor). Our outdoor consists of grass, the pond, and new decks; so I am unsure of what the guest felt was rundown. This cabin also was not "flipped". We are not aware of or have noticed any smell other than the fact that we are on well water, and this does have a smell as noted in the listing. This home has had phenomenal reviews across multiple platforms and ultimately I believe the misunderstanding on amenities vs attractions led to this guest being unhappy for their stay, regardless of what we did to help them as they reached out with questions or concerns.
