About the host

I’m a Milwaukee local and have been lucky enough to call this city home for the past 20 years. Over that time, I’ve come to truly appreciate everything Milwaukee has to offer — its neighborhoods, lakefront, local businesses, and strong sense of community.
I love being a host because I enjoy creating a space where guests can feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home during their stay. Whether you’re visiting for work, a weekend getaway, or an extended stay, my goal is for you to have a smooth, welcoming experience and to leave feeling like you got a real taste of life in Milwaukee.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of Milwaukee’s charm and convenience. The Upper East Side is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets and historic homes, creating a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere that still feels vibrant and connected. It’s just minutes from Lake Michigan, so you can enjoy morning walks along the water, lakefront sunsets, and easy access to the beach and parks.
Downer Avenue, the heart of the neighborhood, is only a short walk away and feels like a small town main street in the middle of the city. You’ll find cozy coffee shops, local bookstores, a neighborhood grocery store, and unique boutiques — perfect for a relaxed morning, casual shopping, or an evening stroll. It’s the kind of place where everything you need is close by, yet the neighborhood remains quiet, safe, and residential.
This area consistently ranks as one of Milwaukee’s most desirable places to stay because it offers both tranquility and accessibility. Whether you’re visiting for work, a weekend getaway, or a longer stay, the Upper East Side makes it easy to experience Milwaukee like a local.

What makes this property unique

This home is a true piece of Milwaukee history. Built in the 1920s, the duplex has been lovingly maintained with many of its original details intact, giving the space a warmth and character you simply don’t find in newer properties. From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice the beautiful original woodwork and built-in cabinets that reflect the craftsmanship of the era.
The kitchen blends vintage charm with everyday comfort, featuring a classic farmhouse sink and thoughtful touches that make it both functional and inviting. In the bathroom, you’ll find an elegant pedestal sink and a deep soaking tub — perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring the city.
What truly sets this home apart is the feeling it creates: cozy, timeless, and full of personality. It offers guests the opportunity to stay somewhere that feels more like a carefully preserved home than a typical rental, making your Milwaukee experience both memorable and authentic.
