Updated home with pool in a great location for walking to town

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our week at this house in Lewes- much bigger than we expected (5 full bathrooms really helps with a family trip) - pool, deck and backyard are so nice for days you want to stay at the house ...street is quiet and only one block from town so we walked for dinners and shopping. Highly recommend!

Roomy house close to downtown Lewes, needs some work

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the place was modernized, good floor plan, plenty of space with the room sizes, lots of countertops and tables. A great location about a block from downtown Lewes and also the bike trails. Very quiet neighborhood. Beaches are a very short 5 minute drive, but you either have to pay to park at some beaches, or pay to get into Cape Henlopen State Park.Good1. We greatly enjoyed walking to get groceries at Lloyd’s Market and downtown to eat and shop!2. Open floor plan, spacious, lots of windows, roomy bedrooms, modern kitchen and baths. New washer and dryer.3. Kitchen had a lot of pots, pans, and utensils, but not the most useful for their size and type for large group cooking.4. 2 king bedrooms with their own bathrooms. One queen with a bathroom down a private hall that is more suitable for a teenager or young couple. And a kids room with 4 single beds and its own bathroom. It also had a 5th full bathroom on the main level off of the laundry & back entrance.5. About 3 car off street parking and 2 on street. But people kept parking in front of the house.Bad1. Interior was good with lots of space, but starting to show signs of floor and furniture wear already. It is a beach house, I know...2. The exterior needed power washed really bad, the deck and pool area were untouched this summer and had green and brown mold with leaf debris from last fall. Deck furniture was dirty and bird poo. 3. Other than an old umbrella at the pool, there is no shade on the deck or pool area until sunset.4. The pool was the biggest disappointment. It had green walls from algae, floating debris, and debris on the bottom. Tile work was cracking and falling off in chunks. We did call to ask for a pool cleaning and the next day it was cleaned as best as he could get it. The pool pump, heater and filter system look way past its useful life. 5. We used the pool after it was cleaned, but not the deck.6. Th

Our family of nine had a great time in Lewes. The house was beautiful and very spacious. We loved that it was within walking distance of downtown and a short drive to the beach. We spent lots of time in the pool, and the back yard. Highly recommend!!!!
