A quintessential coastal getaway awaits at this three-bedroom home in Sunset Beach, where you'll be just around the corner from the beach itself, the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, and the town fishing pier.

With the beach only a quarter-mile down the road, this cheerful home is a place to spend your days swimming, boogie boarding, fishing, and collecting seashells on the sand. A number of restaurants, cafes, shops, and conveniences are just across the Intracoastal Waterway less than a mile north.

Stroll home from the beach in the afternoon to be greeted by sunny yellow shutters, a shaded patio beneath the house, and a lovely back deck where you can soak up a bit more sun, play cards, or gather for an alfresco meal in the shade of the umbrella. The adjacent screened porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon crossword puzzles, and cocktails at sunset.

Inside, find a centrally air-conditioned living space with lofty ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and the colors of the beach running throughout. This is a natural gathering space whether you're cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, sharing appetizers at the breakfast bar and high-top dining table, or watching after-dinner movies on Netflix, cable, or the DVD player in the living room. Perfect get away!

This house is welcoming, well appointed, plenty of space to spread out and charming. The access to the beach is amazing. A short walk and your feet are in the sand. Would stay here again for sure!

I loved staying @ this house because it's a very short walk over to the public beach access. The multiple balconies and sitting areas allowed privacy for all of us. The check in/check out process was simple. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels provided and just an overall great place to stay.

Short Thanksgiving Trip

We stayed at Shell Box III for a few days over Thanksgiving 2023. The house was clean and spacious, perfect for our family (three generations). It had a well equipped kitchen, two baths, and three bedrooms. We were quite happy with it and would love to stay again.

Great pet-friendly option at Sunset Beach

Very happy with this property- close to the beach and affordable. Had everything we needed (kitchen appliances, dishes, etc). Only complaint is they did not vacuum the pet hair from a previous occupant off the furniture.

My sister and I spent a few days is this lovely crab appointed shack and enjoyed our time! Although we awaited Tropical storm Nicole and worried a bit about outdoor furniture and pillows the wind and sputtering rain did not diminish our time together.

We are repeat visitors to Shell Box III. This says a lot! The decor is cozy beach with lots of little extras. They even thought of our puppy. It is a short half a block walk to the beach. There is plenty of parking.

The house was nice and pet friendly. I was not expecting something over the top nice since it was dog friendly. The house did need some attention to the interior ceiling and the skylight did leak during a heavy rain storm.

Needs serious TLC

The house was on a fabulous location but was extremely run down. Furniture in living room is tired, deck has rusty nails sticking up, outdoor furniture is very worn.

Great location hut property needs major repairs and cleaning

Floors were not cleaned before check in. Walls and ceilings were peeling. Damp moldy smell. Dirty carpets!! Wasn’t able to relax because furniture was really needing cleaning.
