The stay started off a little rocky when we viewed the rental for the first time. The unit needed a good deal of maintenance. The unit was clean but very little amenities provided. You will need to buy soaps, paper products, TP and very limited towels are offered. Once we were able to procure the things we needed at the local supermarket, it was more smooth. The location is incredible. You don’t want anything closer to the beach if there is a storm because this is the town where some have fallen into the ocean. We learned that some distance is good. It’s less than 100ft or so from the beach and we spent a ton of hours there. The company offers beach equipment rentals as well so we took advantage of that. The local economy needs tourism after hurricane Erin really battered the place. We tried to patron several different locations and everything is close by. Definitely get your swag at Super Wings. They had cool hoodies, t-shirts and beach gear. The town is doing their best to recover from big damage, so we understand how the owners may be slow to undergo too much maintenance. It was comfortable, livable and we had a great time. I would recommend the owner address the water damaged floor in the kitchen and touch up paint at the very least. Having a screened in porch and an outdoor shower was perfect. We used both quite a bit. Great family vacation. Would choose this location again.
