Peaceful lakefront cottage is the perfect getaway nestled between the Taconic and Berkshire mountains. Soak up sun as you launch our kayaks and SUP from our private dock into serene Robinson Pond Peaceful. Grill on the deck, gather around the firepit on the lakefront terrace. Relax on the swing bed on the year round sun porch. Guest tell us they love our design touches, relaxing on the swing bed on the year round sun porch, and cozying up at the fireplace or in the media room.

You have full access to the house, yards, terrace, dock and private lake.
The 110-acre lake is a no wake lake and perfect for kayaking, and fishing.
There are two kayaks and a SUP with vests available that you can launch directly from the terrace.
You will also have access to the private sand beach with a swimming raft- just a few minutes` walk from the cottage.

Robinson pond is a charming, quiet private lake community. Centered between farms and mountains, our lakeside cottage is in the center of outdoor activity.
Skiiers, hikers and cyclists love our location just minutes from Catamount ski area and Harlem Valley Rail bike trail and the beautiful Bash Bish Falls hiking trail in Taconic State Park.
Check out other Hudson Valley hiking destinations. Enjoy seasonal farmers` markets, farm-to-table restaurants, and antiquing and shopping in Millerton, Hillsdale, Hudson and Great Barrington.
Easiest to get around by car. Once you are here you are in the heart of Hudson Valley near Taconic State Park and the west Berkshire mountains. Enjoy scenic drives through farmland and mountains.
By train: 30 minutes from Hudson Amtrak train station and 30 minutes from Wassaic Metro-North Station. Cyclist love the location as the Harlem Valley Rail Trail starts at Wassaic and runs beyond our location- it is possible to access by bike.
You can park in the driveway or parking area in front of the house.
Robinson pond is a 110 acre lake that is carefully managed in accordance with New York State Department of Environment. The community association does not treat the lake with any chemicals.
We value having a natural body of water that is always safe, but the biodiversity in the lake does include natural aquatic plants.
If it is important that you are able to swim directly from the dock, you may want to consider homes located off of the larger Copake Lake.

-Wildlife:
Our homes are often in rural areas, so you may encounter insects (bees, spiders, flies), small animals (squirrels, raccoons), and occasionally larger wildlife (deer, bears). Please be prepared for nature during your stay and remember they’re more afraid of you than you are of them.
-Power & Internet Outages:
Outages can happen in this area due to weather or other factors. Because they are out of our control, we do not provide refunds for these interruptions, but we’ll do our best to help you work around them.
-Weather:
Rain, wind, snow and extreme heat and humidity are possible depending on the season. Please plan your travel accordingly, as we cannot refund missed stays due to weather conditions preventing travel.
-Additional Guests & Occupancy Limits:
The listed occupancy applies to your entire stay, not just overnight guests. Any extra guests or events must be approved in writing before arrival. Unapproved gatherings or over-occupancy will result in immediate removal without a refund.
-Pools, Hot Tubs & Outdoor Amenities:
These features may be seasonal. If your booking is at the beginning or end of the season and you’re concerned, check with us to confirm availability.
-Mail & Packages:

We hope you’ll make the most of our cozy home, its amenities, and your opportunity to relax and visit the Hudson Valley and Berkshires.
Our community is important to us, and residents value the peace of the area. Please respect the community and try to avoid making loud noise between 11 pm and 8 am.
It is important that your fuzzy friends remained leashed at all times while enjoying the garden and yard. We ask you kindly keep them off the furniture.
Smoking is not allowed inside the home, but you can smoke in outdoor areas, please place your butts in the bin provided.
Caffeine- Kurig as well as an electric kettle and french press are available. Coffee pods and extras are in the cabinet to the right of the stove.
You are welcome to use the grill, we just ask that you clean up afterward. The grill brush can be found the cabinet to the right of the refrigerator.
Wood is available from the wood pile for you fire-loving types. It is very important to e be sure the flue is open before using the fireplace. You will find a- a handle on the inside right of the fireplace, push up and you will hear the flue open. For our comfort, remember to close the flue once the fire is extinguished. Please extinguish fires in the fire pit by pouring water on the coals. Please observe area burn warnings
You will love our porch swing bed, we just ask you don`t love it too much. Please be gentle and limit to 2 loungers at a time.
Kindly store the Kayaks where you found them, under the deck with the paddles. Life jackets of all sizes can be found in the closet in the blue heron bedroom.
Take a peak in the family room closet. Children`s toys and board games are stored there, along with a high chair and booster seat for toddlers.
Please remember to close the windows, turn off AC and lights, turn off the heater in the sunporch and lock the door.
Help us minimize our impact by using the bin under the sink to separate paper and plastic recyclables. Items for the landfill can go in the metal trashcan.

Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and any electronics when you leave the house.
