Midcentury Glass Getaway with Pool

Step into a mid-century masterpiece: a 1956 International Style glass house by architect Orus Eash. Encased in 30 floor-to-ceiling glass panels, the home dissolves boundaries between indoors and nature, set on a beautiful 1+ acre lot with mature trees. Recently restored and furnished with authentic period pieces, it offers a rare blend of design, history and tranquility—an architectural experience unlike anywhere else in the city.

Pool season: Memorial Day to Labor Day. Sometimes, it'll be open before or after but it likely to be a bit chilly as it's unheated.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Strip used beds and place two sheet sets including fitted, flat sheets and pillowcases (i.e. the king bed and queen bed OR the twin beds and the King bed) in the washer.
Laundry detergent / Lysol Sanitizer can be found above the dryer. Load detergent and add one capful of Lysol Sanitizer to the softener partition. Power on, turn knob to Whites setting, press Start.
For any remaining used sheets and pillowcases, please place them in the laundry room.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Indoor Fireplace Please do not use; it is decorative only.
No Shoes in the Home.
Parties and large gatherings are not permitted.

Our company rented this home for visiting guests who had a wonderful experience during their stay. The property was clean, comfortable and matched the listing. While Jen lived in California for almost 30 years and Jeff for his entire life, we now call Fort Wayne home. We are huge fans of midcentury architecture, which is what led us to this home. We took over 3 years to remodel this home because, unfortunately, the previous owner had not treated it well. We say he committed "A Crime against Architecture!"

Why they chose this property

The setting is beautiful with so many mature trees and the home sits on a little over an acre. It's very private and in a small, quaint neighborhood that's in the city but you'd never know it.

As the only International Style, Midcentury home in Fort Wayne, it's a unique stay! With fun colors, period-appropriate furnishings, a beautiful and private setting with 30 glass panels lining the perimeter, staying here really is an experience unlike any other!
