The property is an awesome home with plenty of room for a large family gathering. It sits next to a National Forest along the coast of East Traverse Bay. Many wonderful family memories as we sat by the fire on the beach and watched the sunsets.

A group of 16 stayed Aug 2026. The location of the home is perfect & private. The group enjoyed the beach & close proximity to Elk Rapids. The home is listed as a 7 bed, beware one of the bedrooms is a walk thru hallway for the upstairs giving that area very little privacy. It can be shut off but if you're looking for a 7th bedroom it is not ideal. We stayed during a cool weekend, but the air struggled to keep the house comfortable for sleeping, fans would help. The upstairs community bathroom serves the 2nd King & X3 bunk bedrooms, it was very crowded and less than ideal for adults. Both main bathrooms do no not have forward facing mirrors, the view has been prioritized over mirrors which I can appreciate, but makes getting ready difficult. Our biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the home. The bathrooms were very dirty. 2 bathrooms have urinals, one obviously out of order and covered with a black trash bag making the idea of urinals in a private home even more off putting. The appliances in the main kitchen area should be replaced. The stove has broken knobs, and the oven is caked w/old food and residue. The coffee pots were filthy. The house is fully stocked but should be purged of old broken pots, pans & kitchen accessories. The dryers are inefficient and took hours to dry towels. Overall home maintenance like power washing and staining is overdue. I am a decerning traveler and would not rate this 10/10 or luxury because of the state of the home.
