Toss horseshoes, cool off in the seasonal cowboy tub (closed November through March), soak in the six-person hot tub, then gather at the fire pit. Two ensuite bedrooms, one with a clawfoot tub.



The Space:

Pipes Canyon Homestead is a carefully restored cabin that has been owned by one family for generations, on five acres with unobstructed views of Pipes Canyon. Wood beam ceilings, a fireplace and a renovated kitchen blend history with modern comforts. Outside are a hot tub, a cowboy tub, a propane fire pit and a carport hangar converted into an outdoor dining room with string lights. Two ensuite bedrooms and two twin pull-outs suit families and small groups of up to six. Set the long table in the hangar and ask everyone to stay late.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The homestead looks out over Pipes Canyon. Soak in the six-person hot tub under the stars, or cool off in the 8-foot cowboy tub, which is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March. The carport hangar has been converted into an outdoor dining area with string lights and seating for 12, and the propane fire pit is placed to take in the views. Explore the 5 acres, play horseshoes or giant Jenga, and grill on the propane BBQ.



-Living Area-

The living area has wood beam ceilings, a fireplace, a 55-inch smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker, board games and books. It opens to the fully renovated kitchen.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully renovated kitchen is stocked with spices, olive oil, utensils and cookware, plus a drip coffee machine and French press, with coffee, sugar, creamer and a variety of teas provided. The outdoor dining table in the hangar seats 12.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The primary bedroom has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and its own ensuite bathroom. There is also a couch and two portable twin pull-out beds that can be moved to the living area.



-Surrounding Area-

La Copine and Giant Rock Meeting Room lead the list of local shops and restaurants around Pipes Canyon Homestead. Joshua Tree National Park offers hiking trails, rock formations and desert plants and wildlife.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy!



Please note that standalone storage containers in the laundry room are locked and used for rental supplies.

Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Pipes Canyon Homestead is an 8-foot cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-Trash-

The house shares a dumpster with the neighboring property, at the top of the driveway.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.

► Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

► Parking is available for 3 vehicles in the driveway.

► Any locked closet, room or storage area on the property is reserved for rental supplies and is off limits to guests. Guests may be held responsible for damage or missing items if a locked area is entered.

► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub and cowboy tub are serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

There is a security camera mounted by the front door to monitor the number of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. There are no security cameras in any private areas of the home.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
