Beautiful Remodeled Condo 2B 1.5Ba

Is SUN and FUN listed as keys to your next vacation? Look no further because you will find huge quantities right here in Key Largo! Our COMPLETELY REMODELED condominium provides an ideal location to enjoy the best of the Florida Keys.

You won't find another unit like this. Located on the 4th floor, you are high enough to see over the town homes and view Blackwater Sound. As we are in middle of the building, your views are not blocked by the other building so you can enjoy sunsets right on our balcony. Nightly beautiful sunsets are amazing, whether viewed from the unit balcony or down at the docks. Bring your boat and use our dedicated boat slip (slip #5).

There is a king bed in the larger bedroom which faces the water. Automated lutron shades in the main bedroom offer privacy when needed and full views of the bay when raised. There is a queen bed in the second bedroom. Each bedroom has it's own closet and each has a comfortable memory foam topper that gets regular compliments. In addition, there is a full size murphy bed in the front entry along with a built in for storage of clothes and misc. item. This allows the front entry to be used essentially as a 3rd bedroom offering both privacy and storage.

Custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets, all new kitchen appliances and accessories (plates, cups, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, blender etc), new bedding, rugs, towels, lighting, ceiling fans, windows, couch, patio furniture, tile and doors. A 60" flat screen smart television with TiVo and Apple TV provides renters with a variety of video choices. A SONOS sound system allows you to steam your favorite music right off your smart phone, tablet . The Lutron motorized shades allow for light and views to filter through while blocking the intense heat of the afternoon sun all at touch of a button. This fantastic remodel complimented by all the renovations on the outside makes our unit the best rental in Moon Bay!

If you do not have a boat, do not worry because there is plenty to do in Key Largo. The private, gated community of Moon Bay boasts two heated pools (one for kids and one for adults), large sun deck, a tennis court, recently renovated clubhouse with Ping-Pong table, TVs and saunas, outdoor barbecue with running water and seating, and a fish cleaning station on the dock.

Unfortunately we picked the coldest weather Florida has had in years to visit Key Largo. The owner provided us with a space heater to deal with the chill. The heater kept the unit comfortable. For Catholics there is a church 2 miles away. The view was great, parking convenient and the unit was nicely furnished. Convenient to everything. Cute little private beach, heated pool and nice charcoal grilling area. Highly recommended!

Basic place to stay the night

Great location and super comfy beds. Two bedroom but the third Murphy bed was a nice addition. Place was clean but many items were broken upon arrival and not addressed during our stay: ice maker, dishwasher, 1/2 bath toilet and shower handle. Also, no disposable amenities included, ie soap, shampoo, or kitchen essentials.

Great location

Condo was perfect for 3 adults on a scuba diving trip. Location felt secure, gated, and safe. Checkin was super easy. Condo had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and save money by having a full kitchen to cook breakfast, a few lunches, and a few dinners. Beds were comfy. I’ll be honest we never went to the pool as we were in the ocean diving everyday from another location. Pool looked nice though. Great evening sunset from this condo, and beautiful sunrise. Our only complaint was the refrigerator had an odor(likely from someone leaving something in there too long), property manager is aware and said she would check it out. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Quiet complex

The condo was very well equipped for all of our cooking needs and the owner was very prompt in answering our questions (especially instructing us how to find the hidden silverware drawer) lol. The mattress topper was a bit soft for our liking but we slept great. The pool had just reopened and was beautiful and cool which was nice on hot days unlike the warm pools in Key West. The little beach was cute but we didn't swim in that water. The only complaint we have is the door was quite a challenge to get in every time. I would recommend replacing the door frame and locking mechanism but it was an easy walk to several bars and restaurants. We would stay here again when we visit the keys.

Great views! Great beds! Great amenities! Great air conditioning! Great pool & docks! Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay here! So close to John Pennecamp park. The 1. And it was so quiet. There was no parting that we saw so that was great with us having kids. The locals had great tips. The kids chased around iguanas. My husband enjoyed night fishing off th e dock & even hooked a few sharks. They always broke the line but it was still cool! The condo had everything from coffee to laundry soap. We didn't know so we brought our own. There was fishing poles, life vest, snorkel flippers, a pack and play, beach towels ect. Close to shopping & dinning. I would totally stay again! Snappers a great place to eat!

Great location but unit could use some help

This has the potential for being a 5 star unit - the unit itself is great and the view is amazing. We were not completely happy with the interior - first, we did not feel that the unit was very clean. The counter tops were quite sticky - almost like someone has not wiped them clean. As a result - there was an invasion of tiny ants. With lots of clorox - I was able to bring these somewhat under control. We did not feel that the rugs has been vacuumed - we found cereal and game pieces in several places. The shower had long black hairs all over - neither my husband nor myself have long OR black hair. The mattress on the king size bed must be quite old - they had a pillow top on it, but we still rolled toward the center. There were only tiny standard pillows on the king size bed. As I said - this has the potential to be 5 star - it just needs some work.

Great Condo

Pros: condo is updated, balcony view is amazing (especially to watch sunset), comfortable balcony seating, supplies left by guest and owner ( there are a few cabinets that house left over spices, and essentials like coffee filters, cooking spray, etc) I really respect an owner who allows this and doesn’t require everything to be thrown away. The Murphy bed is a great addition, essentially adding a third bedroom. Condo grounds were very nice and well kept, parking space was covered, people in Moon Bay were so friendly, even toward our teen boys, toilet paper and paper towel provided, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent provided, cleaning supplies available, no key needed, wifi was adequate. Cons: I am not sure what happened with my communication with owner, I tried a few times with no luck, but when I reached out to VRBO and they were able to help me connect to owner within the hour. The check in directions lacked great detail. Once I was connected with owner, she was very attentive and helped answer my questions. So it all worked out. The condo was pretty clean there were a few areas where the floor was not clean, we used vacuum to remedy that. Beds were fine, but bedding for murphy bed was balled up in cupboard and damp, we had to rewash, plenty of pillows, but no pillow cases. The pros greatly outweighed the cons, would definitely come back. Pictures are accurate.

Property and owner five stars

After an initial hiccup with check-in when the code provided to us would not open the door, everything was great. The code was rectified by the owner within an hour even though it was very late. VRBO though gets 0 stars when we had reached out to them for resolution. We were checking in late, after midnight (which we had cleared through the owner), and when we couldn’t initially get in VRBO actually suggested we go out to lunch or do a little sightseeing. Like, WHAT, it’s midnight!! Then, they told us that we were not covered by their guarantee and couldn’t help us. When I asked why, the person couldn’t tell us, just that we weren’t! We had done everything right, paid upfront through VRBO but for some reason not covered! If the owner hadn’t gotten back to us quickly, we’d have been in trouble. But, like I said, she did and all was well. But be warned about the VRBO guarantee. Back to the unit and property, wonderful! The unit is freshly remodeled and very well provisioned with all of the kitchen supplies you could possibly need. Plus there was coffee, spices, plenty of towels, beach toys, snorkels, masks, fishing poles and more. I caught two pretty big barracuda off the pier which was a blast. The property overall is also great. A beautiful clean pool with tons of loungers, great sun decks, shuffleboard, tennis, pickleball, ping pong, foosball and more! There is a great marina pier for watching sunset and fishing. There is a great clubhouse! Fabulous and will be back

Our family loves being outside. My husband and I are originally from Colorado and we make sure we get back to see family every year and make sure our sons grow up loving the mountains. Most Coloradans love water as well and we fell in love with the laid back, easy going vibe of the Florida Keys. We've learned the difference between a map and a chart and that fishing poles and 'Rods and Reels' are NOT the same thing!

Why they chose this property

Moon Bay offered the amenities that we wanted. It was easy to get to, gated, had a pool and a marina. The other owners are wonderful and welcoming to new owners and guests. The grounds and pool are very well maintained. Our family from Colorado loves to use it as well and we've found a great jumping point for day trips from Miami Beach to the Everglades and Key West.

What makes this property unique

Most updated and best designed unit in Moon Bay. Only unit with a fold down full size Murphy bed rather than a fold out couch or blow up mattress. We get great feedback on our comfortable bedding and all the little touches included. Who else has motorized shades at the touch of a button in living room and MBR?
