A cute and immaculate apartment near Wesleyan. House built in the 1700s with all the quirkiness you’d expect — plus a nice shower, comfy bed and pillows, and kitchen. Easy check-in, friendly and responsive host.

Host was quick to respond, polite and professional. The apartment was clean. Things to note: The apartment is on the second floor of this 1740 historic home. There is a narrow, steep staircase that takes you up to the entrance of the apartment (the entrance door has a simple antique barn door latch and no lock). When leaving the apartment, there is no room at the bottom of the stairs to open the door without backing up and standing on the first stair. This apartment is best if you do not plan to use it for more than sleeping as it is not particularly comfortable for sitting and the kitchen is minimal. The floor is uneven (you feel drunk just walking across the room) and the apartment is not without it's quirks: bathroom door does not shut properly, light over kitchen sink bumps into cabinet door when opened, 2 window AC units are quite loud (the filters were filthy and clogged so I cleaned, dried and reinstalled the filters), sun shines in your face when watching TV... etc). Landlord has been made aware of concerns and will be looking into them. The location worked well for us as we had several events we needed to attend nearby.
