The Tiny Cottage at Clem & Clyde's

Retreat, Romance or Family Fun Day. You have it all at your own cozy, country cottage. Evening strolls with goats to a beautiful lake sunset puts a smile on every face. Peaceful and scenic, our free range experience provides a unique interaction with pot belly pigs, chickens, rabbits, ducks, sheep & goats like none other. Fresh eggs are FREE. One exit from the casinos to get away from it all after gaming. Mystic, Beaches, Ferry to the Islands. Makes for a perfect vacation or anytime day trip.
There is a main house and one cottage on the property that you will be enjoying. As the only guest here, the entire property is for you to enjoy alone. Get in touch with nature and beautiful lake sunsets. You can also choose to take along your own full size goat for a 1 hour packing walk. Winters are for skating outside and pond hockey, a New England tradition. Hot chocolate, apple cider and music make for a classic day. The cottage is its own free standing home with on demand hot water, full bath and kitchen with refrigerator microwave and K-cup coffee maker. Coffee and our farm fresh eggs are provided free. We lay 'em and you cook 'em. So don't forget your butter, bread and bacon. TV has all steaming channels including Disney (with ESPN & Hulu), Paramount (with CBS), Netflix, Peacock, Amazon Prime (with NFL), HBO Max (with TNT, or just turn everything off and escape. The cottage is 500 square feet and completely renovated with new everything including propane gas oven, heat and A/C. The park across the street features live music (Thursdays) and farmers markets (Tuesdays) during the summer months, lit pickleball courts (we have a set for you to use), tennis courts, frisbee golf and beautiful hiking trails.

Cottage was perfect! The fresh eggs given to us by the host made for an awesome breakfast! The host was great! My 2 energetic boys loved every animal. The host made sure to take my boys through every fence/gate there was to get my boys front and center with the animals. This isn’t just about money him seeing my boys smile and run around with the animals definitely made his day! Left about an hour ago and my boys already asked 17 times when we are going back!

This is a perfect place to get away from the city and feel nostalgic about the memories I had when I lived in a small village. It’s a cozy, warm little cottage—perfect for staying a few days. The setup and furniture in the house have everything we need, even for just a one-night stay. The room is clean and spotless, and very well maintained. The host, Tom, is very friendly and helped introduce us to his animals. We arrived during the first snowfall of the winter season, and the view outside the window was gorgeous. The pig and chickens were hiding in the barn to stay warm. The LaMancha goats were eating grass and even let me pet them when they came close. There were also geese walking around the yard. Overall, it was a fantastic experience staying at this little cottage.

I've done many things in my life. I'm now trying to be a farmer and love seeing the genuine joy and smiles on people's face I meet here. That's my reward. Come enjoy what we have created for a week, a few days or even a single night just to get away.

Why they chose this property

We got lucky. We bought this property just one year ago in November 2024. Looking for a small farm and we found it right away. First house I liked. First house I put an offer on and we got it. Unreal in this market so it was meant to be and here we are sharing joy with everyone we meet. If it weren't for the "tiny cottage" that come with the property I probably would not have made the purchase. Eight month later and more time and money spent then I could have imagined, The Tiny Cottage went online August 1, 2025 and we have Ben overwhelmed with the results and reactions over our 5 star property and attaining super host status already.

What makes this property unique

The property feels like much more than 3 acres. That is becasue it is high, it is dry and it is level. There is also a 25 acre pond that we abut in the back. All the property is useable and walkable. The sunsets are beautiful and our goats follow guests out for evening strolls on their own. We have an 100% free range experience with the animals which is a delight to everyone who stays. It has been described by our guests as a "haven, sanctuary, and retreat" just to use a few words that we have heard.
