Why they chose this property
I love my neighborhood and falling in love with this amazing town Grandview of Missouri. 10 years ago I was traveled in Missouri side for my business. I found this beautiful historically town named is Grandview. There’s where 33rd President Harry Truman grew up working on the family farm. The City grew from a farming community into a rail town beginning in 1912, and eventually became home to many servicemen and women stationed at the nearby Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base until its closure in 1994. One of Amazon stations and Army’s base still here nearby my property. In 1912, Grandview became a railroad terminal for Kansas City Southern. The new transportation source brought an influx of people into the town, and by 1929 Grandview had grown into a city of 700 residents. The original depot is still in Grandview next to Grandview City Hall and adjacent to Freedom Park. Today, the collective hard work from decades of active leaders has put Grandview on the map as one of the most financially sustainable cities in Missouri with the second lowest debt-per-capita ratio in the Kansas City metro area. Grandview is also home to nationally-recognized parks and Main Street, as well as distinguished police and fire departments. Within the past five years, Grandview has been enjoying a building boom. Grandview is also the home of a National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration office, the first building to open in Southpointe Business Park in 2015. Today, only one lot remains for development in this business complex. Grandview’s industrial area also made headlines in 2018 for landing the first Opportunity Zone investment in the Kansas City metro area. In 2020, SmartAsset ranked Grandview as the fourth strongest housing market in the state of Missouri and in 2018 Kansas City Business Journal listed Grandview as one of the Metro area's top-selling zip codes. There is no better time to be in Grandview… I’m about excited to be your host someday. Hopefully see you soon!
What makes this property unique
The Harry Truman farmhouse nearby my property. He grew up on his grandfather’s beloved 600-acre farm in Grandview. He was there when Grandview became a city and got its own post office. In 1917, he left to fight in World War I. When he came back after the Armistice he started on the path to the White House. But he always recalled the pleasant times he had in Grandview. The Truman Farm Home still stands in Grandview and is maintained by The National Park Service. Visitors come from across the country to see this piece of history, as well as the small room where Harry Truman gazed out over the rolling hills of Grandview. Grandview Historical Society maintains the building, now known as the Depot Museum, filled with a artifacts, displays, historical photographs, antiques, and an authentically furnished station agent's office. More importantly, Grandview survived without mortgaging now and future. Over the decades, Grandview grew from railroads to runways.richards gebaur afbGrandview became a proud military town when the United States Air Force leased Grandview Air Force Base, later renamed Richards-Gebaur AFB. With it came a surge of military personnel and their families. Right behind them a construction boom. Grandview built its first major shopping center, Truman Corners, which Harry Truman himself dedicated. For decades Grandview enjoyed the comforts of what comes with being a military town; steady construction, thriving businesses and engaged residents…Well, so many things to do in Grandview MO isn’t?! Here is my list: Harry Truman Farm, Downtown Grandview( walk with few minutes from my house), The IHOUP International prayer center( just walk few minutes next to my home. International House of Prayer. "GOD honors prayer" you never wanted to leave when you visit at peaceful place), Longview Lake( best activity and must go!!!), The View Community Center( ride with few minutes from my place and family fun sports center), There is lots more things to do…
