About this property
Madison County Mountain Retreat Hot Tub& Fireplace
Tucked deep in the trees, this cabin feels like a place where time finally slows down—quiet mornings with coffee, long afternoons in nature, and star-filled evenings by the fire. Even though it feels worlds away, you’re close to the Shenandoah’s most iconic hikes like Whiteoak Canyon, Old Rag, Cedar Run, and Graves Mountain. And with reliable WiFi, you can stay connected while fully escaping. This cabin was designed with connection and comfort in mind. Cook memorable meals in the brand-new modern kitchen, curl up by the stone fireplace with a good book, or settle into luxurious beds dressed in soft linens. For those who want to work remotely, we've added two full workstations, complete with comfortable chairs, so you can be productive amidst the natural surroundings. As the weather warms, the screened porch becomes the heart of the cabin. It’s where guests spend mornings listening to birds, where hammocks sway in the breeze, and where long dinners at the big farmhouse table stretch into unforgettable evenings. Step outside and you’ll find even more hammocks, a grill for summer cookouts, and a fire pit perfect for stargazing and s’mores. We’re also fully kid- and baby-friendly. A pack-and-play, toys, books, and children’s utensils help make travel with little ones much easier and far more comfortable. The cabin sits at the peaceful end of a well-maintained gravel road in a tiny rural community—private and quiet, yet perfectly located for adventure. You’ll be close to: Bald Top Brewery & Early Mountain Winery The Market at Grelen with orchards, trails, and seasonal events Shenandoah favorites: Whiteoak Canyon, Old Rag, Cedar Run, Graves Mountain, and more Dozens of unique antique shops Rapidan River kayak launch at Liberty Mills It’s a place to reset, reconnect, and breathe deeply. About the host
Hosted by Reid
Hi! I’m Reid, full-time mom of four, part-time detective (Agatha Christie trained), and enthusiastic cook/baker who somehow manages to keep flour off only some of the kitchen surfaces. When I’m not wrangling kids or perfecting a new recipe, you’ll probably find me watching a mystery series and trying to solve it before the characters do. I love creating welcoming spaces where guests can relax, unwind, and enjoy the same sense of comfort and warmth. I’m excited to share that feeling with you!
