Why they chose this property
My great uncle moved to Whidbey Island in 1928 and created a Homestead near Langley. On my mothers side, cousin bought this property in the 1970s and it was eventually passed down to us.
This neighborhood started out as a fishing community with numerous Single room cabins which were rented out to people who wanted to fish out in the sound. Most of these cabins have been converted into garages and some were torn down. The original fishing cabin on our property is still part of the structure underneath the first floor alcove bedroom. The interior has been remodeled of course so the only part of this original structure that is visible is the framing underneath.
This neighborhood has a number of single-family homes now and the community is filled with lovely neighbors.

What makes this property unique
Our home is perfect for hosting in that it has a lovely Open first floor plan but also two of the bedrooms are separate to allow for privacy.
