My wife and I had the pleasure of calling this beautiful home our home away from home for seven wonderful weeks, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and spacious, with more than enough room for the two of us. Its quiet, remote location offered exactly the kind of peace and tranquility that makes the Big Island of Hawaii so special. Some of our favorite memories were the simple ones — sitting on the back deck at night, gazing up at an absolutely spectacular sky filled with stars, and waking each morning to beautiful sunrises right outside our bedroom window. Those are moments we won't soon forget. The home was a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and truly enjoy the natural beauty and slower pace of island life. After seven weeks, we can wholeheartedly say this was a fantastic experience. We would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable Big Island getaway.Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

Lovely place just a little hard to get to. But worth it. Very clean and nice deck. Great place.
The property was at the end of a long, bumpy road which felt a little less convenient but still in a good area with easy access to town. We were a little confused about where the door to the Vrbo was but figured it out pretty easily. The Vrbo had plenty of space and luxuries to accommodate guests. We really liked the reclining couch in the living room and how private our stay felt despite the owner living in the main house. The only thing of note is probably the ants, we had our suitcases open on top of a dresser and by the last day there were more than a few ants inside them even though there was no food left out. Overall, a solid Vrbo to explore the Southern part of the island!

We had a great time at Na'alehu. We arrived after dark and the road to the apartment was a little bit scary, as some parts are not paved. But just keep going to the top of the hill and you'll find the place.
Vickie and Wesley were very friendly and exeptionally helpful during our stay - thank you!
The place is close to south point, green sands beach and Punalu'u black sand beach (where green sea turtles sometimes come to rest). We also recommend the Punalu'u bakeshop with delicious treats.
What a lovely spot. The perfect location for exploring the Ka’u area or even Hawaiian Volcano National Park. The rental was lovely and perfect for us two. Very clean and well equipped, and quiet except for some neighbors chickens aroused by a nighttime rain storm. It was nice to do some local things (Farmer’s market, lazing at nearby Whittington Beach Park, exploring South Point) and not just whiz by like we have in the past. Hosts were really nice, gecko watching was fun, and Vickie’s artwork is exceptional as well. I’d stay again and do a quad tour next time.
Beautiful Ohana suite. Very clean, very comfortable bed! This was perfect for my husband and I - we stayed for a week. Located half way between Hilo and Kona in a beautiful little town, Naalahu. Vickie provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc and that was very convenient. The wild chickens and goats are adorable.
Very efficient, clean property. Loved the cool ocean breezes going through when you open the 2 doors
Vicki supplied everything you could possibly need. Perfectly stocked kitchen for preparing our own meals. We felt like we were the only ones there, very private. The bed was the most comfortable bed of our whole trip. Very convenient location to go to the volcano’s or beaches. Only drawback….it was way to close to the bakery. 😉😉
We only spent 1 night as this sweet home. We had complete privacy. Everything we required was available in the unit. The bed was quite comfortable and I as I like to cook, I had all I needed, even olive oil salt & pepper.
Vickie and Wes are marvelous! They are so helpful. Being long time residents, are a cornucopia of local knowledge. The lodging is great, quiet, cutely furnished, including a lanai with outstanding star gazing. Thanks so much. We'll see you again! cindi and Bela

Amazing time.
Nice quiet place. Close to all our adventures at volcano national park, green sand beach, black sand beach, ka'u coffee. Also not a far drive to kona or kilo. Nice little town near by with great priced local restaurants. Wes and Vick friendly and hospitable.
