This was such a memorable place to stay. It was the perfect out of the way place near the Colorado/New Mexico borders. It was quaint cozy and clean. I would stay again and hopefully soon at the Poppy Pad.

Our stay was good. I wish the listing would include that there is only 1 portable a/c unit for the entire space and that laundry is only available if you pay for it; other than that it was quiet, peaceful, and nice. The cat is very friendly and cute.

The property and house was amazing!! Really comfortable bed and beautiful views. The rental is attached to the hosts house but they were really nice and helpful. We only communicated through message so it was still really private.

The location is amazing for a peaceful, quiet get away! Directions via GPS didn’t include road 122, that is important in finding the location. Pretty far from high traffic destinations of Colorado, so a drive to the city is required if you are looking for that kind of activity. The animals at the farm are so sweet and friendly, I truly felt closer to nature out here. The Mountain View in the morning is unbeatable! The host was so kind and helpful. Being out in the woods I expected more bugs to be around but there wasn’t! The only thing I wasnt prepared for was the well water shower! Totally safe to shower in, coming from the city, it was different. Overall very satisfied with this experience!

Peaceful beautiful place with an old fashioned rope swing to watch the sunset from. Hosts were lovely and welcoming, as were the dogs, cats, burros and horse. Kitchen is a tiny space adequate for coffee, breakfast and sandwiches. Hesperus Station is 15 minutes and they have a nice assortment of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, pizza and desserts. About 18 minutes to Kennebac Cafe if you are in the mood for a gourmet dinner, and this is also the entrance to the road that leads to Mayday, a drive you don't want to miss. If you want a Colorado country experience, this is a great place. About 25 minutes to downtown. Note the water does contain Sulfur in that area and the hosts have provided purified water for drinking. I hope to return again in the future.
