Very cosy, historical semi-detached house "Chalet Esther", 3 storeys, from the 18th century. In a quiet, sunny position in the residential district, 50 m from the lake, road to cross. Narrow motor access to the house. Public parking 100 m extra. Shop 250 m, supermarket 250 m, restaurant 200 m, bakery 200 m, café, bus stop, railway station "Brienz West" 600 m, swimming bay 600 m, public bathing area 2 km. Walking paths from the house 50 m, cycle lane, mountain railway 1 km, skisport facilities 14 km, ski bus stop 200 m. Nearby attractions: Brienzer Rothorn, Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Axalp, Meiringen - Hasliberg. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Brienzersee. Hiking paths: Axalp, Rosenlaui. Please note: Loading and unloading of baggage is possible at the holiday house.

Kitchen-/living room (3 hot plates, oven, kettle, electric coffee machine, raclette grill, fondue Set (cheese)) with dining table, wood-burning stove. Shower/WC. Electric heating, wood heating. Upper floor: (steep stair), Low door height 180 cm ceiling height 190 cm. Large walk-through room 16 m2 with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm). 1 room 14 m2 with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Small balcony. Balcony furniture, box-room. Very beautiful view of the lake, the mountains and the resort. Facilities: baby cot for up to 2 year olds (extra), logs (free). Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: suitable for families. Non-smoking house, no parking. Smoke alarm, fire extinguisher.

What a great place to stay in Brienz! The house is on an absolutely beautiful street with great views of the surrounding mountains. The house was extremely clean and really comfortable. The low ceilings remind you that you are in an historic place. Our boys loved swimming in the lake each day and the house is only steps from the water.

Lovely old style chalet. the lady we met was very nice and accommodating. The chalet is just 2 mins walk from the lake and is around 9mins walk to brienz west train station which is our main point to go to interlaken and other areas.

Charming, clean, perfect location

Our family of 5 (aged 18+) had a wonderful stay in Chalet Esther, Brienz. The weather was perfect while we were there, so we spent most of our time exploring the whole area. But, we always came home for dinner together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (no microwave), and grocery stores were easy to get to. We are a tall family, so be aware that anyone 6 feet tall or more will be at risk of hitting their head often. We lovingly referred to Chalet Esther as our dollhouse as low ceilings and doorways made the space feel tiny. But, the location was worth it! Close to the sea, the 2 train stations, and food shops, on a traditional and beautiful street. No washing machine, do plan accordingly.

Wir hatten sehr entspannte Tage in der Wohnung. Die Schlüsselübergabe hat gut geklappt, die Wohnung war sauber und mit den Holzöfen bereits eingeheizt. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet und von Raclette über Käsefondue bis zum Rehrücken war alles möglich. Wir kommen gerne wieder

A nice and clean house in a beautiful location. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, and received a lot of information about all the activities that were available in the area. Compliments for the hospitality of the hostess. She was always there for us when we needed something. On Sunday we wanted to go to church and the hostess immediately checked whether this was possible. In summary, this stay is worth repeating. A., A. and L.

Entschleunigung pur

Wer dem ganzen Alltagsstress entsagen will, ist in dieser Unterkunft bestens aufgehoben. Kein TV, Radio und auch kein W-lan oder Internet. Dafür aber einen sehr schönen Blick auf den Brienzersee und auf die Bergwelt. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht. Wir haben, ohne Ausnahme, alle sehr gut geschlafen, die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wir haben uns heimisch gefühlt. Das Gebäude liegt sehr ruhig im historischen Zentrum von Brienz. Ganz großes Lob an den Gastgeber!

Herrliche Umgebung mit vielen verschiedenen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, auch bei Regenwetter. Auch für Kinder gibt es viel zu entdecken. Dank NIchtvorhandensein von TV kamen die vorhandenen Spiele und Bücher mit Begeisterung zum Einsatz. Die Betreuung vor Ort war freundlich, zuverlässig, pflichtbewusst, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit.

Ferien mitten in Brienz

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und wir wurden vor Ort sehr gut betreut. Wir hatten ein Problem mit dem verstauen von unserem Kanu und die Nachbarin hat uns sofort ihre Hilfe angeboten und wir fanden ein Plätzchen, super. Wir haben unsere Ferien voll genossen und der Kontakt zu den Nachbarn.

Zij hecht waarde aan duurzame materialen en biedt bewust zo min mogelijk elektrische apparaten aan - dus geen tv of wifi.
