Set along the tranquil Delaware Bay and bordering the breathtaking Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, it’s located just off Route 1—north of Lewes and Rehoboth—yet feels worlds away from the crowds.

If you’re craving a true escape from traffic, noise, and busy beaches, you’ve found it. Prime Hook is a place where life moves at a gentler pace and nature takes center stage. From the moment you arrive, your stress melts away, replaced by calm and a sense of peace that only a quiet beach can provide.

Start your mornings with spectacular sunrises over the bay as you sip coffee on the screened-in front porch. Beneath the home, you’ll find a perfect shaded retreat where you can enjoy the breeze and peaceful views of the wildlife preserve, complete with a hammock and a picnic table for outdoor gatherings. End your evenings on the rear and side decks overlooking the preserve, enjoying beautiful sunsets while watching eagles soar overhead and herons, egrets, and migratory birds.

The beach is as pure and natural as it gets. Spend your days kayaking, fishing, beachcombing for sea glass and shells, or simply relaxing while dolphins glide past. In the evenings, gather for a beach bonfire under the stars—marshmallows highly encouraged! You may even spot ghost crabs darting across the sand or a horseshoe crab making its way back to the water. With calm bay waters and no lifeguards, this beach is best enjoyed at your own peaceful pace.

The home features 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and—best of all—water views from every room. Beach access is directly in front of the house with sweeping bay views. The fully stocked kitchen includes all utensils, pots, pans, and dishes, along with a washer and dryer for convenience. Outside, enjoy an outdoor shower, gas grill, picnic table and hammock. Bring your fishing pole, crab net, kayak, beach chairs and bikes to fully enjoy everything the area has to offer.

When you’re ready to explore, you’re close to it all: historic Lewes and Milton, tax-free outlet shopping, the Georgetown–Lewes bike trail, the Lewes–Cape May Ferry, Dogfish Head Brewery, Rehoboth’s restaurants and boardwalk, Cape Henlopen State Park, Cape Water Tours & Taxi, Delmarva Discovery Tours, and even Bally’s Dover Casino.

Please note that guests are required to provide their own bed linens (sheets, pillowcases) and towels (bath and hand towels) a light bedspread is provided by host for each bed. This helps us keep costs low and maintain a more personalized experience for each guest.
