Beautiful views of the sound. Faces west so sunset is lovely. Private, very quiet location with its own little beach, kayaks and paddle boards. Nice private pool. Large main floor with space for plenty of family. 4 nice bedrooms with queen or larger beds. Plenty of towels, beach towels and extra sheets. Washer & dryer. Good internet.Well equipped kitchen. A car is required to get around.
Our 3-generation family had a wonderful stay at this house. We made frequent use of the kayaks and paddleboards and thoroughly enjoyed sunsets from multiple levels ranging from the open water, to the pool, to the rooftop deck. Plenty of space and kitchen gear. Downstairs bedroom suite perfect for young family of 4 including a crib.
We highly recommend this property. The location is beautiful, it is very secluded, and the beach is perfect for kids. I would plan on kayaking/paddleboarding at high tide plus or minus about 3 hours, otherwise you will be doing some paddle walking. Silly cay is quite shallow at low tide. The house lives up to the reviews. It is a very large expansive older place that has been added onto over the years and has lots of character. We only had six people due to some passport issues, and it was like everyone had their own wing. My wife and daughter absolutely loved it. They were planning their next stay on day two. You will need a rental car for grocery shopping, restaurants and exploring. Avis was excellent. We dove with AquaTCI and they surpassed their five star rating. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
The house is in a nice location on its own beach on which little ones can play in the sand and others can kayak and paddle board. Nice pool too, and very pretty setting. The house is spacious and well stocked, and worked for us because it kind of has 3 separate bedroom sections, but it is tired. Only one person could shower at a time because the water would turn off if someone else turned water on. The grill struggled to get to 350 degrees. The air conditioning was so loud that we turned it off. And there is “stuff” everywhere— it is clearly a house that someone lives in.
All in all we had a great time and enjoyed the house, despite the little nuisances.

Island living is almost perfect, however, utilities cannot be guaranteed and collectibles keep us from being a cookie cutter villa. The Weber has a Safety feature if controls are not in position. Three (3) new and quiet Lennox AC ducted units have been installed. Glad the holiday was enjoyable. Thank you for your input.
Are you looking for space and privacy during your vacation? Do you want to avoid the crowds and congestion of resorts and houses built practically on top of each other? Do you want to stay in a family home with history and character situated on lush grounds? Do you want your own beach and pool and amazing views? Then this is the perfect place for you!
Trust me, the photos do not do it justice!
This home may be older and quirkier than some of the cookie-cutter houses on the island, but it has everything you need, including all amenities, kayaks/paddleboards, life jackets, beach chairs, pool floats, washer/dryer, a/c, two kitchens, LOTS of nice towels, and beds for 14! The bedrooms, kitchen, and sitting areas provide ample space for large families to come together and to spread out. And the views are top-notch! Our family enjoyed relaxing in the pool and on the beach, cooking and eating together in the kitchen, and watching the sunset from the endless viewing areas around the house and grounds. We appreciated the ability to drive to busy spots like Grace Bay in 20 minutes, then come home to our own oasis.
Donna and Jeano were perfect hosts who answered all of our questions and helped in any way they could. The check in and check out process were easy and hassle-free.
This was a dream location and we had a great time with family and friends. One of the best houses we stayed at! Everything we needed from all the kayaks to paddle boards. The views are amazing and will always remember the wonderful sunsets and moments.
We wanted a relaxing 30th birthday celebration. This house was perfect and succeeded our expectations. We felt safe the entire time. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (except the groceries which id recommend graceway iga), we used the kayaks and paddle boards everyday to float out to the sand bars and find star fish and other wildlife. We saw a stingray early morning having coffee on the dock. We had massage therapists come to the house and it was the perfect touch. The house came with a perfect speaker for music by the pool that could still be heard paddle boarding, we were all girls with one guy and it was very accommodating. Our coffee pot broke and it was replaced within hours. We had cable to watch the Super Bowl. I’d stay back here in a heart beat!!
We had a wonderful time at Spongers Cottage. The house and grounds were great, plenty of room for the three families that stayed. The house has a great pool and is situated right on the water with paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkeling gear provided. Donna, the owner, picked us up at the airport due to long delay getting through immigration. The caretaker, Jeano, was outstanding and very welcoming. She showed us the ins and outs of the property and was readily available if we had any questions or issues with the house. This was our family's first visit to TCI. It was a wonderful week in paradise. I would highly recommend staying here if you are planning a visit to TCI.

We had a great time. With its own kayaks, paddle boards, private beach and pool, there is absolutely no reason to leave the place. The pictures don't do justice to the place. We would definitely come back here again.
Donna’s property is in a beautiful part of Providenciales along Chalk Sound Dr. We had 8 adults and 2 infants staying and there was plenty of room to spread out with all the different seating areas. The beach in the morning for coffee and the rooftop patio for cocktails at night was perfect. Just down the road is Sapodilla Beach, which is a gem of local bars, food trucks and a floating tiki bar. It took about 20-25 mins to get to Grace Bay for more restaurants, beaches and more of the tourist hot spots. Donna was great with communication ahead of time and we were greeted at check in to get a tour of the house. Overall it was an incredible stay and we were sorry to leave!
A wonderful and relaxing vacation in a beautiful location
The house is beautiful and so comfortable with lots of room to spread out. The views are stunning. Paddleboards and kayaks are located on your own private beach! The property manager was proactive and ensured our vacation went off without a hitch. We are definitely coming back

Beautiful Location
Not great for bad knees…lots of stairs. The pool had some broken tiles (my daughter cut her toe), the toilet seat wouldn’t stay put in the upstairs bathroom, and the drain in the big shower was not great. The air works in the bedrooms, but the open areas are best with outdoor doors open. The location is beautiful, the outdoor shower is fun, and having a little beach was perfect for the kids!
Absolutely gorgeous. The house has history and an amazing story. The property is perfect. The location is 100% private - safe but so protected we felt like we were on our own tropical island. Will return for sure. Thank you!
The Pictures don’t do it justice - a magical place
This was one of the most perfect and magical vacations we’ve ever been on. We went to Turks & Caicos with another family, a total of 5 boys under the age of 8. The house could have easily accommodated more. The private beach right at the house, kayaking every morning to see starfish, a pool overlooking the water. Outdoor shower - so amazing. When the tides went out we could walk on the sandbars. Huge living room. What a wonderful place to be. We rented a car and explored the islands many beaches during the day. And spent every morning and event at the house. Will have memories to last a lifetime.
Wow! What an amazing property with a great story and photos you can look through documenting it all. Donna built this place before any of the rest of the houses were here. The pictures really don’t do it any justice. What a perfect slice of paradise to wake up in . It’s a beautiful peaceful calm place with good energy, great books and everything you need to relax. We enjoyed nights by the fire and mornings kayaking and paddle boarding or swimming . Loved the outdoor showers too!
Can’t wait to stay here again for a longer time
Everything about our stay was wonderful! The listing does not do this place justice. It is peaceful, scenic and perfect for a family vacation. Our kids never left the pool unless we were kayaking!
Can't even describe in words. The house was more than accomidating. Location great. Beach, water, nature, coral, wildlife, sealife was like a National Geographic book. Donna and Tina run a great place. I can't wait to return. Bring bug spray for early morning and night. Thanks again, kayaks where the highlight of the trip....and the private outdoor shower under the stars!
Wonderful vacation making wonderful memories with family!
The home and amenities were just as described. Lots of room for our large group. The pool and private beach were amazing benefits of staying in a private home. The water sports on the "creek" were so much fun!

BEAUTIFUL-CLEAN-SPACIOUS
BEAUTIFUL
This is our second year visiting Spongers Cottage and it is more and more difficult to leave it every year!
This home is such a rare gem in Provo. Beautifully decorated and extremely clean, it has everything we need...including a blender!
The location is ideal for anyone wanting breathtaking views away from the resorts. We always had plenty to do with the pool, kayaks, snorkel gear, and a private beach ALL to ourselves on 2 acres of paradise! I just wish we could add pics of our stay here.
A very unique experience was walking out to the middle of the creeks sandbars during low tide.
The house has huge folding doors in the great room and there are numerous large ceiling fans so the house was always cooled with a beautiful breeze. There were also beach chairs, plenty of large beach towels, and SPF 100 beach umbrellas for outings.
This home is by far my favorite location in the Caribbean and I'm looking forward to next year!

Fantastic house and location!
The pictures don't do the place justice - this house is in a fantastic location - right on the beach! The house is large with all the amenities you could need - kayaks, beach toys, pool with lots of towels, large table for dining inside and out and much more. We stayed there with 3 generations (7 adults and 4 small children under 4 years old) and had plenty of room and lots to do. Donna was extremely helpful in making sure we had cribs for all the children and was there to welcome us when we arrived.
We rented 2 vans, which is a must to get around town and go to the grocery store. There is a very nice restaurant (Las Brisas Restaurant) just a few minutes drive away with extremely friendly staff and a pool next to the bar for older children to enjoy.
We would highly recommend this house for a large family looking for a pool and beach front property.

Great Place
Fantastic location, about the only house on silly creek with a beach. Fully outfitted with toys; floats, kayaks, snorkeling gear; nice pool, grill, and patio. Beautiful view of Silly Creek. The house is located in a very serene, quite location. The house is outfitted very well except that only 3 bedrooms are air conditioned, so the house may be a problem for large parties in the summer. Donna is very helpful and knowledgeable of area. If I could pick any house on Silly Creek or Chalk Sound, I would pick Sponger's Cottage.

WOW!!!
What an amazing place!
I wasn't sure what to expect based on pics, no reviews, and this being our first trip to TCI.....WOW!!!
The house is actually much larger and more beautiful in person....as is the breathtaking water in Chalk Sound, Silly Creek, and of course the Caribbean Sea! Taylor Bay is just down the street and a must visit!
Spongers Cottage was far beyond expectation and Donna is an absolute sweetheart!!!
Just prepare for the "no-see-ums" at dawn and dusk and know that a rental car is a must as the property is located far away from the hustle and bustle of resorts, restaurants, bars etc.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home Donna! See you again soon~

About the host
Hosted by Donna
A long time resident and business woman, owner Donna Bartram has been part of Provo's growth and progress since 1971. Originally, Donna ran the Third Turtle Inn powered by generator, no telephones, supply planes twice weekly, rugged roads and a hand full of ex-pats and locals. She has contributed to community from that time until today. The Spongers Cottage has been home to Donna and family since 1990 with additions and updates from 2009. With continual changes over the years, and her unusually stylish eclectic taste, Donna has nurtured her island home. Her nautical cruising of the earths oceans has blended well with island living. Your guests will feel right at home in Donna's house during their visit.
Enjoying a kayak on the creek is a favorite past time for Donna. Gardening, sitting on a deck or patio with a good read or always changing, improving and maintaining her home fill her days. Still working on island in commercial leasing and the family restaurant, Mis Amigos, keeps her busy and in the know as well.
Why they chose this property
Donna chose the property on Silly Creek for its water access and views.
What makes this property unique
The Spongers Cottage sits on a private two acre lot with a sandy beach and views of the open ocean. A deeper channel offers navigable access to the open sea. Spectacular views from any location on the property bring a peace and serenity that will relax you to your core.
