Incredibly friendly family hosts you in their historic house on their 400 acre farm! Our stay was too short to take it all in; we found our primary purpose (hiking in Grayson Highlands state park) an easy drive of about 30 minutes. The house includes tubes you can use in the river. Be sure to ask the host about this fun summer idea and to look through the 3 inch thick binder of activity ideas. Sitting on the front porch rocking chairs and enjoying the expansive river view after a long hike amongst the wild ponies was perfect! Thanks for sharing this home.
