Nice, quite little cabin just a short walk to the water. Perfect for us with everything you need for a couple nights stay. We’ll be back to try the fishing when it warms up
This is our third time staying here & we couldn’t be happier. The cabin is in a great location; it feels completely remote but anything you need is only a couple of miles away. It’s clean, cozy, and the host is great to work with. Would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in this area.
The place was perfect. Quiet, clean, remote, great scenery, very private, great fishing, love the swing down by the water, love the gazebo. So lucky I found this place. I would defiantly stay there again.
Amazing, secluded cabin that provided the perfect getaway for my wife and I. Ideally situated near the river and just the right size for two! Clean and well-maintained. Comfortable chairs and bed. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to go. We’ll be back for sure!
This was the perfect little getaway cabin! I loved how simple the cabin was yet it had everything we needed for our stay. There was dry firewood provided which was awesome. The little gazebo with the swing by the water was very peaceful and we saw a ton of wildlife. Overall this was a great place to stay and we will definitely stay here again!
This is truly a perfect cabin for you and a plus one! Especially if it’s a girlfriend or wife. Very peaceful/romantic, you can hear the river from the front porch. We will definitely return again! Such a beautiful cabin and beautiful property.
Wonderful experience , the swing was my favorite part . Relaxing and peaceful . The only negative was the steep driveway but as to be expected considering the location nothing four wheel drive can't fix. Will definitely be returning.
What an absolute beauty!! It’s perfect in every aspect. Marc was so responsive too. I will certainly be back this summer for some fishing and lazy days in the river!
Good that places like this one are just nearly perfect getaways.
We want to go there again. I need to learn how to do fly fishing. Sparta downtown is not crowded and then there’s the Blue Ridge Parkway. And the New River maybe 10 minutes north into Virginia with kayak access. And you are really in the mountains.
The house was exactly what I expected for a tiny house, clean and neat. The river view was wonderful. Our only problem as Seniors was the walk down to the river and back was rather difficult for seniors. It would have been nice to know that the entrance road was narrow and steep. We did enjoy our stay and the peaceful atmosphere even the visit from the neighborhood roosters when we first arrived.
We enjoyed our stay. At times it seems we were out in the middle of no where! It was great to escape the other world we live in . I appreciated never having to listen to the news and enjoying nice music on Pandora . We also enjoyed the little coffee shop in Sparta ! Great place for breakfast . We enjoyed a few wineries not too far away . Overall I would say it was a great little get away for peace and quiet !
This little cabin is the absolute perfect spot for a couples getaway. We spent our 25th wedding anniversary here and got exactly what we wanted. Absolute peace and quiet, with a beautiful view! Close enough to town that you can be at a grocery store in 10 minutes or less, but far enough away from everything so that you have complete peace and quiet. The river is beautiful. The cabin is the perfect size for just two. Has everything you need. We are already looking at booking another trip!
From the swing by the creek to the roosters in the morning, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay! The cabin is well laid out, clean, warm and inviting, the covered structures overlooking the river are a beautiful place to sit and listen to the rain or watch fireflies, and Marc strikes a perfect balance between communicative and respecting guests' privacy. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but the town of Sparta is just minutes away, with anything you might need. We really didn't want to go back home, but vacations can't last forever!
