The romantic country house Nonna is located approx. 900 m from the village of Balestrate. Surrounded by olive and lemon trees. If you love nature, then Casa Nonna is the right house for you. From the veranda and sun terrace you have a wonderful view of the colorful landscape and the most beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is fully equipped. Kitchen towels, hand towels, bed linen included. The sun terrace invites you to relax and chill out. If you are looking for shade, the veranda is at your disposal. You have a choice of where to take your meals. Either in the kitchen, in the dining room, on the veranda or on the wonderful sun terrace surrounded by olive trees. They can develop fully and are not disturbed by anyone. The house belongs only to YOU! The nearest beach is approx. 1400 m. Shops and restaurants can be found in the village. This accommodation is suitable for summer and winter Internet access - German television programs.

If you do not have a car, we will be happy to accompany you for bulk purchases.
We have prepared timetables by train or bus especially for our holiday guests.

How to get to Balestrate: Balestrate is very easy to find. No matter whether you land in Palermo or in Trapani. From Palermo Airport, take the motorway towards Trapani and after about 23 km there is the Balestrate motorway exit. From Trapani Airport take the motorway towards Palermo and after about 40 km the Balestrate motorway exit. You can also get to Balestrate by train from the airports. The connections can be found at Punta Raisi (that's the name of the train station at Palermo Airport) to Balestrate (change once) .From Trapani Airport, take the bus to Trapani station and then take the train to Balestrate - we will pick you up Station.

Prima verblijf

Wij hebben een fijne week gehad in het huis van Girolama en Andrea. Alles wat wij nodig hadden was aanwezig en het huis was netjes en schoon. Het terras met uitzicht op de zee was prachtig. Het contact met Girolama, Andrea en Giuseppe was heel prettig.Het is zeer aan te bevelen een auto bij de hand te hebben. Het huis ligt op best een eind wandelen van dorp en strand.Puntje van aandacht: ik zou de witte spaarlampen vervangen voor warm licht. Dat komt de sfeer 's avonds zeer ten goede.

Nord est de la Sicile

Je conseillerais aux voyageurs d’utiliser la climatisation afin de couvrir les aboiements des nombreux chiens la nuit. Andrea est une Hôtesse très gentille et disponible. Bien situé pour visiter la région nord est de la Sicile.

Un très beau séjour

Tout d'abord merci de l'accueil Girolamo et Andrea sont très chaleureux. Ils ont eu un problème d'eau avec la propriété et nous ont placé dans une autre maison avec les mêmes prestations (voir même plus spacieuse), c'est pourquoi je ne peux évaluer la propriété de Casales Mazzola (Casa Nonna). Balestrate est idéalement située pour visiter la partie ouest de la Sicile voir jusqu'à Agrigente (2h de route). Un très bon souvenir.

Sehr schöner Urlaub im Mai

Wir haben eine schöne Urlaubszeit im Haus verlebt, mit allen notwendigen Dingen versorgt, hatten Ärger mit dem Leihfahrzeug und hätten ohne die umgehende Hilfe (Sonntag Mittag auf der Landstraße) durch den Vermieter und später dann durch die Telefonate und emails seiner Frau mit AVIS die Situation kaum so schnell geregelt bekommen. Wir bedanken uns und können das Haus und die Vermieter nur empfehlen.

Large house, where to go for a quiet stat, touristics spots reachable in les than 75 min

Guests are really welcoming. What you can hear is only birds singing. Good place to have dolce week(s). Rooms are spacious. The kitchen has got lots of equipments for getting in touch with Sicilian cucina. Parking is available and is inside the familial property.

Een knus en gezellig huisje

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in één van de appartementen van Girolamo en Andrea. Zeer vriendelijke en hulpvaardige mensen. Altijd een praatje, als we hen buiten tegenkwamen, in het Duits. Met Girolamo kan je over van alles en nog wat praten, maar het is nooit opdringerig. Vraag hem naar de lekkere bakker, Tumminia, met heerlijk biologisch en natuurlijk gegist brood. Lekkere ruime keuken, heerlijke bedden en twee lekkere banken. Wij waren met drie personen, maar voor meer dan 4 personen lijkt het huisje me wat krap worden dat wil zeggen in de winter als je in de ochtend en avond binnen bent. Er zijn extra bedden in een kamertje achter een gordijn. Afval wordt op het terrein gescheiden. Op loopafstand van stadje Balestrate en met de auto kan je de hele westkant van het eiland exploreren. Ideale uitvalsbasis dus. Het geheel is afgesloten met hekken, zoals alle huizen hier, maar je kan, als je alleen weg wilt een extra sleutel vragen zodat je vrij bent. Het was altijd een gevoel van weer lekker thuiskomen. Hartelijk dank Girolamo en Andrea!

Super Vermieter, rundum gelungener Urlaub

Wir haben unseren Urlaub Ende September bei Familie Mazzola in Balestrate verbracht. Da zu dieser Jahreszeit die Temperaturen um die 25 Grad liegen, ist es ideal die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten Siziliens zu erkunden oder auch zu Wandern. Aber man kann auch noch sehr gut Baden und hat sehr viel Platz am breiten Sandstrand. Auch die vielen guten Cafes und Ristoranti sind nicht mehr überfüllt. Mazzolas haben auch immer noch einen Geheimtipp parat. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb, wo man sich in Ruhe zwischen den Olivenbäumen erholen kann. Als Tierliebhaber haben wir auch schnell Freundschaft mit den Katzen und der Mini (Mazzolas Hund) geschlossen. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und auf dem Grill haben wir frischen Fisch wunderbar gegrillt. Das Essen kann man auf der freien oder überdachten Terrasse einnehmen. Wir haben uns die 2Wochen bei Herrn und Frau Mazzola sehr wohl gefühlt und erinnern uns auch sehr gern an die schönen Unterhaltungen sowie die gemeinsame Olivenernte.

Se n'ai pas la première fois que je vais à balestrate et c'est toujours aussi bien

C'est des petites maisons très bien entretenue plein de charme et typique de la région,belle chambre,belle terrasse avec vu sur la mer et de l'autre côté vu sur les montagnes. Vraiment parfait et une gentillesse et un bon accueil du propriétaire, on y retournerai bien.

Viel Platz, super freundliche Vermieter

Wir waren im Juli 2016 in Balestrate. 2 Wochen Sonnenschein und Temperaturen um die 30°C, so muss Urlaub sein. Und wenn man mal nicht an den Strand wollte, hatte die Vermieterfamilie auch noch einige Tipps zur Urlaubsgestaltung. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig. Wir waren mit 6 Personen vor Ort (nur zwei Frauen, da hat auch das eine Badezimmer gereicht) und hatten genügend Platz zum Schlafen und spielen. Es gab genügend Platz um sich aus dem Weg zu gehen und wenn man was zusammen machen wollte (Brettspiele, Essen), war auch genügend Platz vorhanden. Die Ausstattung (Küche etc.) war komplett und das gesamte Objekt liebevoll gepflegt. W-LAN (wichtig bei 4 Kindern) war durchgängig verfügbar. Da die Grundstücke zwar groß aber verwinkelt sind, sind auch die Nachbarn wichtig. Wir hatten Kontakt mit beiden in unserem Bereich angrenzende Nachbarn. Zum Einen weil ab- und zu mal Spielzeug über den Zaun flog. Was uns wohl unangenehmer war als dem Nachbarn. Er hat zumindest immer prompt das verlorene Teil aus seinem Garten geholt. Ist schon faszinierend wie sich Menschen verstehen können wenn Sie sich verstehen wollen auch wenn sie keine gemeinsame Sprache sprechen. Bei den anderen Nachbarn hatten wir eher einen passiven Kontakt. Da waren regelmäßig abends Gäste zu Besuch. Ein Radio für uns war so überflüssig :-) . Es war nicht unerträglich und es blieb auch nach Besuchsende noch genügend Zeit für einen erholsamen Schlaf. Aber insgesamt war es doch recht laut. Wer damit Probleme hat, wird hier nicht glücklich. Zwei kleine Anmerkungen: a) der Strand ist tüchtig weit weg. Zu Fuß im Sommer praktisch unerreichbar. Der "wilde Nordstrand" hat nur eine schmale Parallelstraße. Auf dieser parken und fahren die Autos der Strandbesucher. Da sind Dellen am Blech des Autos einzuplanen. Der "Südstrand" wird kommerziell genutzt. Also genügend kostenpflichtige Parkplätze, Strandbar und auch die Händler sind vor Ort. In Teilbereichen kann man auch Liegen und Sonnenschirme mieten. Nord- und Südstrand haben einen super feinen Sandstrand und einen sehr flachen Zugang zum Meer. Unser 7-jähriger hat sich richtig wohl gefühlt. b) Die Straßen in Italien sind eng und in Sizilien zusätzlich noch recht holprig. Der Weg zum Haus macht da keine Ausnahme. Wir haben auf unseren Erkundungsfahrten durch Sizilien (vor allem im "Hinterland") deutlich schlechtere Wege angetroffen, aber mit Sportfahrwerk möchte ich da nicht lang fahren.

Überwintern im Olivenhain

Auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten Domizil um dem österreichischen Winter zu entfliehen, sind wir auf das Landhaus Casa Nonna in Balestrate gestoßen. Es ist geräumig, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Mitten im Olivenhain verfügt es sowohl über eine überdachte, als auch unter freiem Himmel gelegene Terrasse. Dort konnten wir bei gutem Wetter sogar im Januar draußen Mittagessen. Es ist ideal für Naturliebhaber und Romantiker. Die Vermieter, Herr und Frau Mazzola sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns in den sieben Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt und planen schon für den nächsten Winter. Karin und Ingo aus Dornbirn

Es war einfach nur schön

Wir bedanken uns recht herzlich für den tollen Urlaub, den wir in dem Landhaus Casa Nonna verbringen durften. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und gehen auf Anregungen und Wünsche ein. Das Haus und der Garten sind traumhaft schön und ideal für Naturliebhaber und Reisende, die gerne ländlich-rustikal wohnen. Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal, um den gesamten Westen Siziliens zu erkunden. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Casa Nonna Sommer 2015

Waren mit Frau und Tochter diesen Sommer dort Sehr schöne und geräumige Ferienwohnung mehrere Schlafzimmer, tolle Terrasse, Küche alles drin. Die Vermieter sind immer super freundlich und hilfsbereit, alles top ! Balestrate Stadt und Strand sind ca 5 Minuten mit dem Auto weg Sehr schöner gepflegter Garten im Grundstück mit Oliven und vielen diversen Fruchtbäumen dabei. Kann man nur wärmstens empfehlen für ruhige und entspannte Ferien abseits vom Trubel mit tollem Blick bis auf das Meer. Fazit: alles war spitze kommen gerne wieder

Schoene Urlaubstage in Balestrate

Casa Nonna, ruhig gelegen, oberhalb von Balestrate, war mit allem ausgestattet, was man fuer einen schoenen Urlaub benoetigt. Wir haben sowohl die ueberdachte als auch die freie Terrasse sehr genossen. Die Vermieter, Herr und Frau Mazzola waren sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. So bekamen wir gute Empfehlungen, wo man am besten Lebensmittel u.a. Dinge im Ort einkauft, wo Cafes und Restaurants sind und auch Tips fuer Ausfluege. Wir haben uns bei Familie Mazzola sehr wohl gefuehlt - fast wie zu Hause. Ansonsten liegt Balestrate sehr zentral um einen grossen Teil von Sizilien kennenzulernen. Wir haben viel Kultur gesehen, aber auch die Begegnungen mit den Menschen war uns sehr wichtig. Zusammenfassend koennen wir sagen, dass wir Balestrate und speziell unsere Vermieter Fam. wunderschöner Sizilienurlaub

Casa Nonna ist ein sehr hübsches Ferienhaus außerhalb Balestrate, was aber keinesfalls ein Manko ist, denn man wohnt sehr sicher und mitten in der Natur. Ein Auto ist für die Entdeckung der Insel sehr von Vorteil und somit ist man auch schnell im Ort und am wunderschönen Sandstrand. Wir hatten 25 - 27 Grad Luft, Wasser 24, nachts 20 Grad und keinen Regen ,und das Ende Oktober !!! Die Bilder und die Ausstattung stimmen zu 100 %. In Natura ist alles natürlich noch viel schöner. Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen. Vielen, vielen Dank auch an unseren supernetten Vermieter. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder !!! Einen Tipp noch zum Ausgehen : Cafe del Golfo hat vorzügliches Gelato und superleckere Dolchi, zu umwerfenden Preisen !!! Trattoria Geronimo sehr gutes Essen und ein sehr netter Chef ! Geheimtipp Casa Nonna

Familiaer aufgenommen von Andrea und Mimmo (Vermieter). Ambiente sehr gemuetlich und idylisch. Umgeben von mediteraner Vegetation. Perfekt fuer Familien und Verliebte. Jedem zu empfehlen, der sich im Urlaub erholen will und trotzdem nicht weit zu den vielen Sehenswuerdigkeiten. Balestrate ist ein uriges sizilianisches Dorf fuer alt und jung. Hier fuehlt man sich sofort wie zu Hause.
