About this property

Soundfront 5BR | Sleeps 14 | 3 Kings | Kids Bunk Room | Sunset Fire Pit

Summary:

Stella Maris is a five-bedroom soundfront home on Navarre Beach with private access to 110 feet of

Santa Rosa Sound shoreline. It sleeps 14, with 5 full baths, 2 half baths, an en suite on every bedroom,

and two king primary suites on separate floors. Calm, sugar-white sand is steps out the back door and the

Gulf beach is an 8 to 10 minute walk. Built for multigenerational families and groups traveling together,

with a beachfront fire pit we call the Sunset Theater. Two waters. One stay.

The Space:

AT A GLANCE

• Single-family home, three floors

• 5 bedrooms plus a 3rd-floor bonus room, sleeps 14

• 5 full baths and 2 half baths. Every bedroom has its own en suite.

• Beds: 3 kings, 1 queen, two twin-over-twin bunks (4 twin beds), 1 twin with trundle, 1 twin pullout

chair

• Directly on the Santa Rosa Sound with private access to 110 feet of shoreline

• Public Gulf beach access 0.4 miles away, an 8 to 10 minute walk

• Private gated By the Sea community with pool and hot tub access

• Garage and driveway parking. No boat trailers per HOA. Tesla-compatible EV charger on site.

THE SETTING: TWO WATERS, ONE STAY

The Santa Rosa Sound runs directly behind the home. Same sugar-white sand as the Gulf side, but the

water is calm, clear, and shallow enough for young swimmers, floats, paddleboards, and grandparents

who want to wade in rather than fight surf. The Gulf is an 8 to 10 minute walk when you want open

shoreline and waves. Most families spend mornings on the Sound, afternoons on the Gulf, and evenings

back at the home watching the sun go down over the water.

Coffee on the Sound. Waves on the Gulf. Firelit sunsets by water at night.

One practical advantage that is easy to overlook when you are comparing homes: unlike the Gulf, the

Sound does not close. When high surf or double red flags limit Gulf swimming, the water behind Stella

Maris usually stays calm and swimmable. A week of rough surf does not cost you your vacation.

THE LAYOUT

Three floors, with the bedrooms deliberately spread out so families on different schedules are not on top

of each other. The two king primary suites sit on separate floors, each with its own spa-style en suite

bathroom, private balcony, and blackout curtains. The other three bedrooms also have their own en

suite bathrooms, so nobody shares and nobody waits in line in the morning. A third-floor bonus room

adds a twin with trundle for overflow, or a quiet place to work. Two half baths round it out: one in the

first-floor game room, so you can come straight up from the water without walking through the house,

and one on the main living level next to the kitchen where a crowd actually needs it.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS (SLEEPS 14)

• Primary Suite 1, 3rd floor: King bed, spa-style en suite, private balcony with elevated views of the Gulf,

the Sound, and the National Seashore. Blackout curtains.

• Primary Suite 2, 2nd floor: King bed, spa-style en suite, private balcony over the Sound and the National

Seashore, twin-size pullout chair. Blackout curtains.

• Guest Bedroom 3, 3rd floor: King bed with private en suite.

• Guest Bedroom 4, 3rd floor: Queen bed with private en suite and private balcony.

• Guest Bedroom 5, 2nd floor: Two twin-over-twin bunk beds, en suite with tub, private balcony. Built for

kids.

• Bonus Room, 3rd floor: Twin bed with trundle. Also works as a quiet workspace or overflow space.

• Bathrooms: 5 full and 2 half.

Three king beds means the adults in your group get real beds, and the kids get a bunk room of their own.

That combination is hard to find at this size.

KITCHEN AND HOSTING

The kitchen was built for feeding a crowd, not for one cook. Dual dishwashers, a dedicated wine and

drink fridge, an air fryer, an ice cream machine, and a pantry stocked with basic spices, oils, and staples

so you do not arrive to bare cabinets. For larger groups and longer stays there is a second full-size

refrigerator and a separate deep freezer, both in the game room where they are easy to reach during a

gathering. The deep freezer also has room for extra bags of ice when you are feeding a crowd.

Coffee drinkers are covered at every level. Burr grinder, Chemex, and a dedicated kettle for the pour-

over purists. Drip maker, French press, Keurig, and Nespresso for everyone else.

NO SUPPLY RUN THE FIRST NIGHT

You know the drill at most rentals. One roll of paper towels. One roll of toilet paper. One trash bag. One

laundry pod. Well, about one of everything. Then the whole group is making a grocery run before anyone

has unpacked. Not here. Extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, dish

soap, sponges, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, coffee filters, basic kitchen spices, and a stocked first

aid kit are already waiting, along with a washer and dryer on site. You unpack once and stay put.

OUTDOOR LIVING AND WATER ACTIVITIES

• Beachfront fire pit, our Sunset Theater, with panoramic Sound views

• One kayak, two paddleboards, and a pedal boat included

• Beach chairs, umbrellas, Sun Ninja shade, beach towels, sand toys, and life vests provided

• Beach wagon for the trip to the Gulf. The Sound is steps out the back door, no hauling needed.

• Outdoor shower with hot water

• Weber XL grill on the ground floor

• Private mooring buoy for approved small guest watercraft

• First-floor half bath with direct access from the water, so no one tracks sand through the house

• Beach volleyball and bocce ball, and the cornhole boards move outside whenever you want them to

INDOOR AMENITIES

• Game room with ping pong, cornhole, darts, and family games. The cornhole boards move outside

whenever you want them to.

• Smart TVs throughout the home

• High-speed Wi-Fi for streaming, gaming, and remote work

• Washer and dryer

• Tesla-compatible EV charger on site

• Blackout curtains in both king primary suites

• Access to the community pool and hot tub in the gated By the Sea neighborhood

THE VIEWS

Because the home faces open water, the views are wide and layered:

• 180-degree views of the Santa Rosa Sound, north, west, and east

• Unobstructed sunrise and sunset

• Glimpses of the Gulf to the west from the third floor

• Gulf Islands National Seashore and its protected dunes to the west

• The high-rises of Pensacola Beach to the west, including the Portofino towers, marking it in the

distance

• Navarre Beach and the Navarre Bridge to the east

GULF AND SOUND FAQ

Is Stella Maris on the Gulf?

Stella Maris is directly on the Santa Rosa Sound, with sugar-white sand and calm, clear water just steps

behind the home. It is ideal for paddleboarding, swimming, and all-day fun by the water.

How close is the Gulf beach?

The nearest public Gulf access is 0.4 miles away, an 8 to 10 minute walk. Enjoy the emerald water and

waves, then come back to the peaceful Sound whenever you are ready.

What is the difference between the Sound and the Gulf?

The Gulf offers open shoreline and surf. The Sound offers gentle, swimmable water, fewer crowds, and

sunset-facing views. Coffee on the Sound. Waves on the Gulf. Firelit sunsets by water at night. At Stella

Maris you do not have to choose, you experience both.

Is the sand the same?

Yes. The same soft, sugar-white sand found on the Gulf side lines the Sound shoreline behind the home.

Does the Sound close on red flag days like the Gulf?

No. When high surf or double red flags limit Gulf swimming, the water behind Stella Maris usually stays

calm and swimmable. Your week does not hinge on the surf report.

Can you hear the Gulf from the house?

Most days the setting is quiet and peaceful. On higher-surf or red flag days, depending on wind direction,

you may hear waves in the distance, often when Gulf swimming is limited and the calm Sound is at its

best.

What are the views like?

Because the home faces open water, the views feel wide and layered: 180-degree views of the Santa

Rosa Sound north, west, and east; unobstructed sunrise and sunset; glimpses of the Gulf from the 3rd

floor; the protected dunes of Gulf Islands National Seashore to the west; the high-rises of Pensacola

Beach to the west, including the Portofino towers, marking it in the distance; and Navarre Beach and the

Navarre Bridge to the east.

Is it easy to enjoy both beaches during our stay?

Very. Many guests spend mornings on the calm Sound, afternoons on the Gulf, and evenings back at the

house by the waterfront fire pit. Two waters. One stay. One place to make memories.

Guest Access:

The entire beachfront home and the garage are yours for the stay. Parking in the garage and driveway.

Boat trailers are not permitted per HOA rules, and a private mooring buoy is available for approved small

guest watercraft.

The Neighborhood:

Stella Maris sits inside the private, gated By the Sea community on Navarre Beach, Florida. Quiet

residential streets, a community pool and hot tub for guest use, and noticeably fewer crowds than the

better-known beaches to the east and west.

Close by:

• Navarre Beach Pier, the longest pier in northwest Florida, for fishing and sunset walks

• Navarre Marine Sanctuary for snorkeling, sea turtles, and artificial reefs

• Sugar-white Gulf beaches 0.4 miles away, an 8 to 10 minute walk

• Gulf Islands National Seashore

• Pensacola for museums, dining, shopping, and Blue Angels events

• Destin for outlet shopping, restaurants, and harbor activities

Condé Nast Traveler's 2025 Readers; Choice Awards ranked Pensacola Beach the #1 best beach in the

United States and Navarre Beach #2. Stella Maris sits between the two, with Navarre Beach 0.4 miles

from the front door and Pensacola Beach a short scenic drive west along the coast. Very few homes on

this stretch of the Emerald Coast can offer easy access to both.

About the host

Hosted by Matthew J Scow

Host profile image
We’re a family who believes the best memories are made when everyone can slow down, unplug, and truly be together. Stella Maris was created as a place where grandparents, parents, and kids could all feel comfortable sharing time, meals, laughter, and sunsets by the water.

We love the Navarre Beach area for its natural beauty, calm waters, and relaxed pace — it offers the charm of places like 30A, but in a more peaceful, family-friendly setting. When we’re here, our favorite moments are simple ones: morning coffee on the balcony, kids playing in the Sound, evenings around the fire pit, and watching the sky change colors as the sun sets.

As hosts, we take pride in caring for the home as if it were our own and making sure guests feel welcomed, supported, and at ease from the moment they arrive. Our goal is for your stay at Stella Maris to feel less like a rental and more like a place your family will want to return to year after year.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it offers something truly special — a peaceful, waterfront setting that feels tucked away, yet still close to everything families love about Navarre Beach. The calm waters of the Santa Rosa Sound create a relaxed, safe environment where kids can play, paddle, and explore, while adults enjoy the quiet beauty and slower pace.

What we enjoy most is how serene and family-oriented the community feels. Even during busy seasons, the neighborhood remains uncrowded and laid-back, making it easy to unwind and feel at home. Sunsets here are unforgettable, and evenings are often spent outdoors enjoying the breeze, the water, and the sense of calm that comes with being right on the Sound.

It’s the kind of place where mornings are quiet, days are unhurried, and time together feels intentional — exactly the atmosphere we wanted for Stella Maris and for the families who choose to stay here.

What makes this property unique

What truly sets Stella Maris apart is the combination of calm-water, soundfront living with a home that was intentionally designed for families to be together. Having direct access to the Santa Rosa Sound means guests can enjoy the water safely and easily right from the backyard — whether it’s kids playing along the shoreline, paddleboarding at sunrise, or gathering by the fire pit at sunset.

Inside, the home is thoughtfully laid out for multi-generational stays, with five bedrooms that each have their own en-suite bathroom, two spacious king suites, and dedicated spaces like the game room that bring everyone together. There’s room to spread out, but also plenty of shared spaces that naturally encourage connection.

Beyond the layout and amenities, Stella Maris stands out because it feels cared for. From continual updates and thoughtful touches to local management that ensures a smooth stay, our goal is to create a place that feels welcoming, comfortable, and memorable — a home families return to because it simply feels right.
