Holiday rental in a historic Valaisan house in the quiet and authentically preserved mountain village of Grengiols. An idyllic and well-connected base for hikes, bike tours, and winter sports. Nearby Goms, with about 100 km of cross-country trails, is a cross-country skiing paradise, and the Aletsch Arena connects Riederalp, Bettmeralp, and Fiescheralp as a snow and hiking paradise with breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier and four-thousand-meter peaks, including the Matterhorn.

The apartment was lovingly renovated in the 1990s. In addition to its cosy atmosphere, it offers modern amenities, including shared garden seating.

The living space
The second-floor apartment, accessible via a separate staircase, features a spacious kitchen-living area with a loft, a stucco-tiled stove, and a dining area with unobstructed views. The kitchen was renovated in June 2020. The adjoining, separate living room, with its original 200-year-old wooden walls, historic inscriptions in the floorboards, and large Giltstein stove, invites guests to gather and relax together.
One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the other with two single beds. Two additional sleeping areas are located in the living room.
The bathroom with a shower is compact but offers everything you need. A coat closet is located near the apartment entrance.
A garden seating area with barbecue facilities, as well as a basement room with a washing machine and storage space for bicycles or ski equipment, are available for shared use. An additional kitchen in the basement allows for optimal use of the garden seating area.

Transport
Grengiols is served by the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, which runs every half hour. The village centre, located higher up, and the apartment are about a 15-minute walk from the train station.
By car, Grengiols can be reached directly via the cantonal highway from Brig or from Goms. There is a public, free car park next to the house.
