Climate in Marbella: Positioned between the beach and the Sierra Blanca mountain range behind it, Marbella enjoys an unusually pleasant micro-climate. Winds may be buffeting the Straits of Gibraltar just across the bay, flattening the waves in Fuengirola just up the coast, blowing spray onto the Paseo Maritimo of Estepona just down the coast but the day will be calm and pleasant in Marbella. A mild temperature throughout the year, shorts and t shirts for summer and generally a light jumper will do fine for many days in winter.

Local Activities and Dining areas: Marbella and Puerto Banus are in considerable contrast to many of the other towns along the Costa Del Sol. They are indisputably the quality resorts of the Costa del Sol. Marbella, centred on the Plaza de los Naranjos and still partially walled, the old town is hidden from the main road and easy to miss. Slowly this original quarter is being bought up and turned into quaint clothes boutiques and restaurants. You can still sit in on an ordinary bar in a small old square and look up beyond the whitewashed alleyways to the mountains of Ronda. The luxury yacht marina located in Puerto Banus is a sight in itself with some of the world’s biggest yachts moored here.
