We had an amazing time at the cabin. It is right on the water and the wildlife was beautiful. Deer everywhere and respected and protected by all. Rooms were large and the common areas beautiful. We had dinners downtown at The Roof and Butcher and Bottle. Both delightful. Angelo is a very attentive host. He communicated consistently with us and we truly felt at home at his property. The sound of nothing but the gentle current of the river was so refreshing. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway with fun activities at night in town. The kitchen was equipped well. We had breakfast there and enjoyed our dinners out. Our pets loved everything about the place and Angelo made them feel as welcomed as he did us. Thank you Angelo!!!!

We named the cabin (Running Deer) to follow our Native American tradition. My wife, Julie is part of the Mataponi tribe in West Point, VA, which is part of the Powhatan Nation (Pocahontas’ tribe). I was a US Navy Diver/DMT and Retired after 26 years of continuous service to our great nation. Although we consider ourselves Beach Bums, we also like the mountains. We love the outdoors and try to stay active. Life is too short! One must enjoy life as much as possible. I hope you enjoy your stay!
Why they chose this property
ON THE RIVER!!! Gated Community located near multiple wineries, lakes, waterfalls, and hiking trails. The resort amenities are included in your stay. Cabin is close to downtown’s Jasper, Ellijay, and Blue Ridge.
What makes this property unique
ON THE RIVER! It takes 2-1/2 hours to 3 hours to tube from the launch site to our property. We accept Dogs!
