Oceanfront serenity awaits the two of you at Ocean Wind Retreat, a very romantic getaway spot. Dog friendly, view of the light house from the bedroom with a queen size bed and TV. Free WIFI. There is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. The front room has a kitchenette: fridge, coffee maker, micro-wave, toaster, electric wok (there is no oven or range) and utensils. A gas Cuisinart BBQ is available for private use by the deck on the ocean side of the front yard.

The front room has a Captains Bed perched high to optimize comfort and the scenery outdoors. Step outside to a spacious oceanfront deck and yard, or seek out the path overlooking the beach with love seat and complete privacy. A large indoor soaking tub for two, beautifully tiled, with ocean views and an indoor sauna add to the rest and relaxation of this wonderful retreat! The bedroom: queen bed, open closet, dresser, TV and "fire" light for ambience, has a view of the light house. Host provides flowers and gift basket free of charge.

A favorite vacation, birthday and honeymoon spot. Located at the South end of Nye Beach in Newport, OR, just next door to Georgie's Beach side grill for scrumptious dining. Enjoy the Newport Performing Arts Center, many area restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting and several music venues. Less than 3 minutes to the Newport Bayfront, Hatfield Marine Science Center or the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Walking distance to two parks.

This apartment is on the ground floor, with a permanent residence above where the host/owner is available if needed. A wonderful location for the artist, writer, editor or anyone just seeking quiet solitude for inspiration. Please adhere to the policy of No Smoking. One dog is allowed; call owner regarding extra pet.

The place is just as cute and charming as pictured, the host had treats and a toy for our dog and fresh flowers, and it’s in an amazing location with beach access and walkable to restaurants and shops.

The location of this property was perfect. It is a duplex with the rental on the bottom floor. It was very clean . The beach view was beautiful. The property owner had a nice welcoming basket, food, and bottle of wine.

Charming couples oceanfront stay

Lovely location with ocean views and proximity to the beach in Newport. The host welcomed us with flowers in the rooms and a treat basket including snacks and wine. A side gate leads to steps down to the beach. My husband enjoyed the sauna. This was our third stay and it never disappoints.

Beautiful and Quiet Retreat

The property was clean and beautiful, with a sauna and a big tub that made warming up easy.Beach access couldn’t be easier, as long as you can do a flight of stairs. Just down the street was a State Park with more beach access and a historic lighthouse, basically under the picturesque Newport bridge.The property owner was warm and welcoming and made sure that we were comfortable. Couldn’t ask for a better stay on the Oregon coast.

Awesome Retreat

Owner was very nice and asked if we needed anything. It was such a cozy little place. I really enjoyed the soaking tub. Easy access to the beach. Everything was perfect! I would recommend this to any one who wants a private retreat.

The property is very well located, with convenient access to Nye Beach and the bayfront.The hot tub and sauna were very nice after spending the day on the beach.The kitchen is pretty limited, but other than that, a very nice property.

Native Oregonian, lived in NYC in my 20's and 30's and love being back in Oregon where there is dirt for a garden, beaches and forests for exploring, inspiration for art, music and horses. I live with two Abyssinian cats, a Parson Russell terrier, and enjoy my pony and horse three miles from the beach.

I love getting the apartment ready for guests with an eye for special touches - so that upon entering, the guests will feel someone was excited about their arrival.

When seeking to move back to Oregon from Manhattan, Newport offered an oceanfront home for peace and tranquility.
