With all the different properties available to rent at Water’s Edge, Wildflower stands out for its large double lot nestled among trees with beautiful views of the lake. Despite having neighbors nearby, the home is situated in such a way that it offers a sense of privacy. The screened-in porch is especially comfortable and relaxing. Indoors is well-appointed and beautifully decorated. The primary bed is so comfortable—I’ve never slept better away from home! If you’re looking for a lakeside property to rent at Water’s Edge, I highly recommend Wildflower.
We have rented many VRBO and other properties but nothing has ever matched our very pleasant surprise when we arrived at this wonderful lakefront property. Just as advertised, it is nestled on a spectacular piece of property overlooking the lake, tucked in amongst amongst the trees with great 180 views. Immaculately clean and very cleverly, and thoughtfully laid out, the screened in porch quickly became our favorite hangout as the double french doors open completely so that the living room seems over twice its size. It was great during a thunderstorm to be "outside" and protected at the same time. The available canoe was a lot of fun, watching the sunset almost every night was very peaceful and pleasant. We were even treated to the dusk time antics of the local beaver neighbor. We loved the active bird life, especially the woodpeckers. We enjoyed our time here very much and, unlike most other rentals we have stayed in, we found this one difficult to leave but, alas, our time was up and we had to return to our regular lives. We didn't have any serious issues so our contact with the host was minimal but the contact we did have was very warm, generous, and friendly. We visit our son, our daughter-in-law, and our two grandsons in Sewanee as often as we can and hope to have the pleasure of staying here again and again!
