The Space:

This bright and cheery condo is waiting for you to create long-lasting vacation memories! A fireplace is ready to provide warmth in winter, and the deck is perfect for relaxing on a sunny day. There is a full kitchen with a breakfast bar, and you'll have access to resort-style amenities on-site.



Access to pools, a hot tub, tennis courts, and a children's playground right in the condo community. In the winter, skiing and snowboarding are close by at both Alpine Meadows and the beautiful Squaw Valley Resort, home to the 1960's Olympic winter games. Summer is filled with activities such as fishing at the Truckee River, rafting, and numerous hiking and bike trails. If you are there on a Thursday evening, check out Truckee Thursdays, a fun family night with arts and crafts, food trucks, and entertainment.

First off, the location was great. As for the property, it is poorly maintained. Stained carpets. The half bathroom door doesn’t close (broken track). The listing said 2 full baths when it’s only 1 full and 1 half bath. Light bar in kitchen did not work. The main couch is well past its useful life. The Teflon pans are scratched and stained. If you’re looking for cheap, this would be your place. If you have kids, I would not recommend.

The location is great but the condo itself is in need of a lot of work. The biggest disappointment was that the listing says this condo has air conditioning, but IT DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. One of the main reasons we chose this condo over other options was that it offered AC. When the bedrooms are upstairs and it’s still 74 degrees inside at 10:00 at night, it’s very uncomfortable and hard to fall asleep even with the windows open. In communicating with the property management, I could tell they had no idea what the condition of the place was actually like. The carpets are very dirty and worn. The couch was either stained or just not cleaned. The mattress on the trundle beneath the bunk beds was very gross with stains. We found someone’s old pair of socks beneath the dresser. The caulk in the bathroom was clearly not done by a professional. Very disappointing experience with this rental.
