A wood-burning fireplace provides a cozy ambience and warmth for the cooler seasons. Plan and prepare home-cooked meals with ease in the well-appointed full kitchen. This was our first time in Oregon and we loved our stay in Government camp! The cabin was rustic but in very good shape, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and kitchen. The working fireplace was a very nice plus!We weren’t expecting the property to be quite so rural, it was a ways down an unpaved road off a highway - would recommend 4WD especially if there is any chance of weather (it was 15deg cooler at altitude than down the mountain in Hood River) but may have been on us for not understanding the layout of the Government Camp area better.Overall would definitely recommend if you want a very private getaway way out in the woods!

Fantastic cozy cabin in the woods

What a wonderful cabin. The interior is all wood with a fireplace and a full kitchen. Just past the still creek campground nestled in the woods by a creek, which was so soothing to hear in the distance. Lovely spot. Thank you

A lovely gem for quiet time

This was a lovely place for the kids to explore the creek outback, and for easy access to Trillium Lake. We were glad not to have the TV or wifi (the kids actually read books!), but definitely come prepared for that!

Very peaceful

Very private and relaxing cottage . We had a great experience, the customer service was wonderful and home was clean . No internet or TV, which was very nice. Cell service was good.

Quaint clean and cozy

The cabin is very clean and located in a very quiet serene setting. All you hear is nature all around you. It's very conveniently located easy walk to all the trails around trillium lake and a quick drive to government camp or up to timberline for more hiking or views. It was very clean and well kept. Don't expect anything fancy as the place is very rustic but it has all the basic amenities you need. The kitchen was very well appointed with all the necessities there are plenty of towels and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking to get away from a hectic lifestyle and just relax for a little bit. I would definitely stay here again
