Once we removed the large roach, found & replaced a light bulb on the patio, cleaned the coffee pot and realized the bodywash in the shower would have to double for the bathroom hand soap, we tried contacting the host regarding the simple need of some coffee filters. We had tried to reach the host prior to our shopping trip, but only got responses from an AI bot who gave us incorrect info about the type of filters. Since I had asked prior to shopping, they had given us the wrong info, we were sick, and already had to take care of several minor issues when we arrived, I asked if they could bring us the right ones. Still not sure if I ever got a real person, though it eventually started to sound like one after requesting several times.'Mary' said multiple times that her people would bring us some filters, but they never showed. When I called the VRBO customer care line, they tried all 3 phone numbers they had for the 'host' but couldn't reach them either. On the positive side, the unit is a couple of blocks from the beach, provided beach towels, detergent for 1 load of laundry, and 2 loads of dishes, and soap to handwash dishes. You just have to be OK with no communication from a real person. This was my first VRBO experience and it will most likely be my last. I value honest communication with a real person!
