The "Sonnenweg 20" holiday home offers the highest level of comfort for up to 4 adults and one toddler in a prime location with a magnificent view.
In the beautifully designed, spacious living/dining area with an electric fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll find the perfect setting to unwind and truly relax from the stresses of everyday life. Wi-Fi, TV, a stereo system, and games are standard features in this property. So is the high-quality, well-equipped open kitchen.
For a restful night’s sleep, two bedrooms feature super-comfortable box-spring beds. Each room also includes a TV as part of the home’s upscale design concept. A travel cot is also available.
In addition to a guest bathroom, you’ll find your very own personal wellness area in this property, complete with a sauna, large shower, and bathtub.
A parking space and a bike shelter are also included.
The balcony and terrace offer plenty of space for barbecuing and relaxing.

Just a few minutes’ drive away, a bit off the beaten track from the tourist hotspots of Willingen and Winterberg, lies the small village of Heringhausen, nestled in the midst of a lush green natural area and situated directly on the beautiful Lake Diemel. Whether you’re seeking peace and quiet, looking for an active holiday, or travelling with the whole family, you’ll experience breathtaking views and unspoiled nature on certified hiking trails and designated mountain bike and cycling routes. For a day trip, crystal-clear streams and romantic villages with historic buildings await your discovery in the immediate vicinity. The Fort Fun Adventure Park in Bestwig, Winterberg, Berleburg Castle, and Willingen—a town known far beyond the state borders for its lively nightlife—are also nearby. For now(!), Heringhausen and the Diemelsee holiday village are still considered absolute hidden gems in the region. However, the local tourist information centre has already undergone an extensive renovation and offers its guests—in addition to its super-friendly and helpful staff—an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with an adjacent wellness and sauna area, as well as an interactive exhibition about Lake Diemelsee.

Can’t say anything negative. We were very satisfied. The beds were just a little too soft for us, but that’s a matter of personal preference since we have a firmness level 4 at home. This isn’t meant as a review, just as a heads-up in case anyone prefers firmer mattresses. I especially appreciated that the key was right there at the house—no need to drive to an office or service centre to pick it up. You arrive and you’re there right away. One more little tip: if you’re arriving in a car with a lower ground clearance, you might want to look for a house with level or flatter parking. Or park somewhere along the street.

The house offers a very pleasant, cosy atmosphere. It was very clean, and all the amenities were provided. If you’re looking for a beautiful view of Lake Diemel and the surrounding nature, this is probably the best location. We’ll definitely be back.
