Cozy Getaway close to CMU campus. Pretty grounds with adobe buildings making it feel like Taos or Santa Fe. Very quiet neighborhood making it relaxing. trees and shrubbery offered a park like atmosphere. Baseboard heat kept it quietly warm enough. Good Spot.

The listing, booking, and host instructions all made the stay easy. The host's description is fairly accurate - this is an older property with limited amenities. We found the kitchen to be limited in functionality and a few moths were finding their way in. I typically don't need 4-5 star accommodations and found the place adequate enough to consider staying there again.

Thank you for your honest and balanced feedback. We’re glad to hear the listing details, booking process, and check-in instructions helped make your stay easy and that you found the home comfortable enough to consider staying with us again. We also appreciate your comments regarding the kitchen functionality and the seasonal moths. As an older property, we do our best to accurately represent the home while continuing to make improvements where we can. Thank you again for your stay and for sharing your experience with future guests.

Unique Southwestern RetreatI loved staying at the Casita Adobe...but it's not for everyone. From the real wooden beams overhead to the thick adobe walls to the tiny irrigation ditch outside the door it was truly unique... like a trip to Old Taos, really! The secluded garden, mature trees, and outside firepit also brought camping to mind, right in the heart of Grand Junction. It was clean and quiet, and pretty much as described. Management communication and service was excellent. But, the place is small (even for 2), "rustic", and cramped with too much dated furniture and old rugs. The bathroom is newer, and roomy enough, but the kitchen is tiny (but unique!), and lacking typical cooking facilities. If you're a bit older, like me, clambering into the oversized king bed is a chore.Still, I truly enjoyed my stay because of the style and surroundings, and I don't need fancy modern (and often sterile) lodging. Casita Adobe is great if you want a "get-away" feeling, like a unique and secluded setting, and are flexible.
