We are a family of 4 with two teenagers and a small dog. The view on the island is amazing and so beautiful. We enjoyed seeing seals every day playing and watching us from nearby rocks. We saw eagles as well daily. We explored the forest which was a fun adventure. Be advised some places it is good to have a walking stick if you go out far. We had a good time playing board games together as there is no TV. I enjoyed the warm dry sauna especially on our last day when the weather was a little cooler. Low tide right by the sauna is where you will see starfish, sea cucumber, crabs and sea urchin. During high tide the seals are right nearby the sauna. Our dog loved going on walks and all the new smells as well. Definitely worth it to make so many memories in a one of a kind setting.
What a wonderful place! The house is incredible! Modern, yet rustic with all the trappings of home. Super quiet, incredible views, and a perfect area to get away from everyone! Tranquil forest walks through amazing mossy vistas. Bald eagles, and turkey vultures along with harbour seals are your only neighbors. Paddle boarding and kayaking is the only way to explore around the island. Super clear water, you can see straight down to the bottom from the dock. Sea stars, urchin, sea cucumber and a host of other marine life. If you love scuba, this is a gold mine! Don't get me started on the sauna! After a long day of exploring and hanging on the water, what a superb way to finish off in that incredible floating sauna. Matthew is an amazing host and his caretaker Dave goes above and beyond! Cannot recommend enough!
The property was beautiful! You can tell the owner has put a lot of work into it! The caretaker was friendly and went through the property in detail as it is somewhat remote. No issues with solar or hot water. We were worried about the potable water taste but it was great! Beautiful views out of every window!
