We all had a great time and got plenty of exercise going up and down the stairs. Enjoyed watching the never ending show of eagles, kingfishers, whales and changing ocean currents. We hope to go back next year.

Unfortunately our stay was cut short by an emergency at home but I look forward to coming back. So peaceful, great views and a wonderful host.

Quadra adventure

Property was clean, comfortable, looked good and everything worked well. All amenities were at hand. Host was friendly and available. Note there’s 85 stairs down to the home so you must be reasonably mobile. I recommend the place without reservation.

The location is idyllic. With marine and bird life at your door step, it was so serene. The owner is clear in listing that there are a lot of stairs. Take them at their word. Some of the cooking utensils and food prep stuff were a little rustic for my personal taste, but the dishware and flatware were great. We had an issue with the heat, one of the exchangers wasn't working and a handyman brought in an oil heater. Lots of cozy blankets supplied. Overall, still a spectacular place. Would suggest hosts hang a fake wasp net or wasp trap for those summer months. We weren't able to fully utilize the deck to eat meals.

This property is a beautiful, peaceful and very spacious place to stay. We really enjoyed watching all the ships and boats, seals and whales and birds in the area. We met our host Joanne - who is very friendly and helpful always. We were enjoying a holiday on Quadra Island but if you needed to complete office work while there, this cottage has some great areas to work in. We are excited to return again!
