Summary:

Half an easy block from the beach on South Padre Island, Sparky’s Pool House is a two-level townhome value-priced for families who want real space without resort prices. It is an older property with character and a few quirks, but it is very clean and allows up to 12. East Mesquite Street is among the most walkable on the island, and public beach access is 100 steps east at the end of the block — under two minutes on foot. Two levels, three bedrooms, and a driveway for two cars.



The Space:

Five reasons to book:



Private pool with a BBQ area off the patio — bring your own grill and cook outside. A private pool at this price point on South Padre Island is a very short list.

Two levels keep couples and families on separate floors — the right setup when different groups are sharing the space and everyone wants a little breathing room.

Josephine’s Kitchen, Cafe on the Beach, and a Dollar General are all within a short walk — past guests say once you park, you likely won’t need the car again.

Beds for every configuration — queens, doubles, a single, and a futon across the rooms, with an airbed in the closet for the group that runs over.

Up to 2 dogs welcome for a fee — a private pool property on SPI that also takes pets is genuinely rare.



THE LAYOUT

Ground floor has a large bedroom with two queen beds and a full bath right next door, a galley-style kitchen, a living room with Smart TV, and a patio door that opens directly to the pool area and seating. That patio becomes the hub of the stay.

Upstairs: the master bedroom has a queen bed and a twin futon, a Smart TV, and a full ensuite bath that is a brand new tub/shower combo as of June 2026. The second bedroom has two double beds. The third bedroom has one double and one single — a natural fit for teens or a solo traveler in the group. There is a non pull out couch as well as a provided airbed and pump just in case. Please do bring additional bedding of your own if you plan on using couch or airbed



To set proper expectations: the inside of this townhome is dated. It is not renovated or polished accepting the new tub/shower surround as well the new front door. .It is clean and functional, and the value is in the layout, the pool, and the location — not the finishes.

Please note the 2 levels as the master bedroom is upstairs, though one bedroom is on the main level. While we do allow up to 12 people, there is not adequate provided sleeping space for that many



THE POOL

Pool depth runs 3 to 5 feet throughout. The seating area wraps around it and connects back through the patio to the living room, making it easy to drift in and out all day. There is a BBQ space here as well — bring your own charcoal or gas setup and clean up when you are done. We do not provide a grill.



KITCHEN & WIFI

The kitchen is stocked for real cooking: pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cooking spray, salt and pepper, and coffee with filters. It is a galley layout and not open to the living room, but everything needed for a proper meal is here.

WiFi is the highest-tier available on the island. Outages can happen occasionally — bring a phone hotspot if work cannot wait during your stay.



BASICS

The property requires stairs to reach the upper level. Maximum occupancy is 12 including children and infants, though the space is most comfortable with fewer adults. Parking fits two vehicles in the driveway and is always free — a golf cart counts as one vehicle, unlike hotels on the island that charge for every car.

Street parking is not permitted. SPI beaches allow pop-up tents and small wagons — recommended for hauling gear, as beach toys and beach towels are not provided.

Security patrol runs from 9 PM to 3 AM for noise and vehicles. This is not a party house — unregistered guests and noise complaints result in eviction. Please ask any questions before booking, not after thank you for your consideration

Please note we have multiple units close by and can accommodate more than one group — just ask, we would love to help.



PETS

Up to 2 dogs are welcome for a $75 fee per pet. Please disclose before booking — undisclosed pets result in eviction, so be kind. Dogs cannot be left alone in or out to bark, may not be on furniture and you must pick up all pet droppings to avoid an additional charge, please be kind,

POLICIES

Primary guest must be 23 or older. Guests under 23 require prior approval and an additional refundable damage deposit, if approved at all. A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before check-in — door codes are not released without both.

Door codes are sent by text by 3 PM on arrival day. If you are hoping for early check-in, reach out around 1 PM on arrival day and we will accommodate if we can. Strict cancellation policy applies. No unregistered guests. No smoking, no parties, no extra cars, no exceptions.

You'll have complete access to all areas of Sparky’s Pool House. This includes the private pool and BBQ area, where you can enjoy outdoor cooking and relaxation. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a Smart TV, and three bedrooms across two levels. The property features comfortable beds in each bedroom, ensuring a good night's sleep. The property also provides Wi-Fi and air conditioning for your convenience. Please be aware that while an airbed is provided, guests should bring their own bedding.

Within easy walking distance, you'll find convenient spots like Josephine’s Kitchen for a bite and a Dollar General for essentials. The area is known for its walkability, so you can leave the car parked and explore on foot. For dining, Cafe on the Beach is also nearby. This neighborhood offers a blend of relaxation and convenience, perfect for a family getaway.



Getting Around:

Getting around Sparky’s Pool House is easy. You're located on East Mesquite Street, one of the most walkable areas on South Padre Island. Public beach access is just a short walk away. For those arriving by car, you'll find free parking for two vehicles in the driveway. Street parking is not permitted. If you're looking to explore further afield, the island is easily navigated by car, golf cart, or the local shuttle service. The nearest major transit hubs and airports are a drive away, so a car is recommended for most guests.



Other Things to Note:

Please take note of the following important details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay at Sparky’s Pool House. Check-in time is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. You will receive the electronic key code on the day of your arrival by 3 PM. Prior to arrival, a signed digital rental agreement and a copy of your photo ID are required. The maximum occupancy is 12 guests including infants, and the primary guest must be at least 25 years old unless pre-approved. Parking is available for two vehicles in the driveway; street parking is not permitted. For stays longer than two nights, you may want to bring extra supplies as starter toiletries are provided. No smoking or parties are allowed, and quiet hours are from 10 PM to 9 AM. Up to two dogs are welcome for a $75 fee per pet, but they must not be left alone to bark, allowed on furniture, and all droppings must be picked up. At check-out, please set the thermostat to 78 degrees, put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on, and take out the trash. Failure to do so will result in an extra cleaning fee.
