Why they chose this property

Nestled in the heart of Vermont, South Royalton is a charming small town surrounded by rolling hills, rivers, and scenic countryside. Known for its peaceful atmosphere, local farms, and classic New England character, it’s the perfect destination for hiking, biking, swimming holes, skiing, and relaxing getaways year-round. Enjoy local favorites like South Royalton Market for coffee and provisions, craft beer and live music at First Branch Coffee, and burgers made with locally sourced ingredients at Worthy Burger. With its welcoming community and easy access to outdoor adventures, South Royalton offers an authentic Vermont experience just a short drive from Woodstock and the Upper Valley.

What makes this property unique

The cabin is a labor of love. This garage / barn was turned into a beautiful home with 22ft high ceilings, large windows, design furniture and a beautiful concrete floor.

The large living room with a Moroccan rug and a wood stove will keep you cozy and warm during the winter months. Read a good book in our comfortable slow chair from Vitra. Our bookshelves reach until the ceiling and I am sure you find something you like. We don't have a tv, but we do have a projector. So bring your own laptop and watch a movie like being in a movie theater.

Unwind under the stars in our Goodland wood-fired hot tub — a cozy outdoor experience surrounded by nature. Heat it the traditional way with firewood, sit back, and enjoy a relaxing soak after a day of exploring Vermont. Perfect for slow mornings, sunset views, or chilly evenings year-round.
