Less than a 10-minute walk from Südstrand (the world’s largest sandpit), the hosts have created an oasis of well-being in the midst of the wonderful North Sea dune landscape, reflecting their life in St. Peter-Ording—between beach sailing, the marina, and the sea. From the carport (with an electric charging station 100 metres away in a public car park) through the small, cosy front yard—which also serves as a natural privacy screen—you’re immediately greeted upon arrival by the invigorating sea air and the peaceful atmosphere. Upon entering the sustainably furnished house, you first arrive in the spacious entryway, which features a guest bathroom and the staircase leading to the ground floor. To the right is a cosy bedroom with a double bed, adjacent to a newly designed small bathroom with a shower. Next to it is the entrance to the bright kitchen, featuring open shelving and new, modern appliances. This makes it an excellent self-catering option for your holiday—even for large families and groups of friends. Directly adjacent to the kitchen is the utility room (for wet beach clothes, for example), complete with a washing machine and dryer. The ground floor also features a large, bright living/dining area perfect for social gatherings (with a fireplace)—inspired by the ever-hospitable beach sailors, who always round off their shared sporting activities with a snack and good drinks. On this floor, details such as the thoughtful decor, the beautiful handcrafted wooden staircase, and the carefully selected colour scheme particularly catch the eye, radiating warmth and cosiness. The back wall of the house is made entirely of glass, guaranteeing a sun-drenched stay and a magnificent view of the vast dune landscape (nature reserve) behind the house. Once you’ve climbed the handcrafted wooden staircase to the ground floor, you’ll find an oasis of comfort with a cosy couch and TV area, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a cosy evening. Adjacent to this is another bedroom—with an unobstructed view of the nature reserve behind the house—and a large bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Another highlight on this floor is the open workspace. Here, with a view of the vast North Sea landscape, you can work in complete tranquility or simply let your mind wander. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, new ideas, a chance to slow down, or a creative outlet—this is arguably the best workplace in the world :) Like the living room, the other common areas are equipped with a Smart TV and a Sonos sound system; on the ground floor, there are also two additional sleeping spots in the form of a large sleeper sofa. The attic provides guests with additional space. It’s accessible via a spiral staircase and—another highlight of the house—a cantilevered walkway. There’s also a quiet retreat under the roof, offering a place to relax with lounge cushions and a reading nook. There’s also plenty of room up here for yoga mats, an easel, or other activities that require space.
